    Triker

I'm with Rach - read my sig!

I'll be out in my walking boots later:D watching DS play footy...first match for 4 weeks I think:eek: either no match scheduled or (more often:rolleyes: ) waterlogged pitch deemed unfit (much like me then:rotfl: )

Kaat - I like the friendliness here too - but I have been dipping into other threads and I took offence at one poster's behaviour towards another last Sunday and came out fighting...this one has a superiority complex:rotfl:

Have been in to DS's room now he has moved out:eek:

I can't get near the window until we move the bed but I can see the colour:eek:

He has left a lot less junk than I expected (I think I am remembering how much the two girls had when they moved out - we had to hire vans:rotfl:

It's very strange having no kids at home - we can eat what we want for a change:j

Having a few minutes for lunch before I have to head into the city centre to meet DD2, OH is gardening and I have 3 loads of washing on the line and another in the machine, so at least we're getting somewhere today. (did next to nothing yesterday)

    G & B - hope LO is improving today,

Lady L - Hope you got some rest last night, take it easy today.

Have a good day everyone else.

Weather vile here now, constant drizzle.

Washing back in and on the maiden.
Been to the corner shop to get a couple of bits for lunch

DS3 being as vile as the weather, lots of sickness in his class so hope he is not coming down with anything.

Going to have my lunch and then tackle the cloakroom which I never got to before.

Well, I was hoping she was on her way round here :D - why is it that when you are decorating one room, all the others seem to get messed up?

DH and I have got the majority of the door & drawer fronts painted on one side of the kitchen..........I had optimistically planned Roast Chook for tonight (nice FR one that will do us for AT LEAST 3 dinners and then soup) but I think it's going to be a late dinner.

DH had embarrassing moment yesterday.Took the front panel etc off cooker hood to find that for the past 20+ years, it has been set to "extract" rather than "recirculate". Which would have been fine, except it has nowhere to extract to! So it has presumably been merrily pumping icky air out of the top (no wonder the ceiling above it looks so vile!). Glad we found out though - it means that we can re-use this one rather than having to buy new, just have to get the appropriate trunking and get it ducted into the chimney that was once used by the Very Very Old Boiler.

Hey ho.......better get back to the paintbrush - I've promised myself a half hour read on here later to try to catch up with you all!

DD room is coming on nicely now. All the walls are painted, the third coat of pink did the trick. Ideally it really could do with a fourth coat but I think Mr Tag and I are sick of going over it now.

Curtain pole is up complete with new curtains.Mr Tag is just doing the glossing. So wait for that to dry and then start moving stuff over. :j Still on target.:j

emily, we're much closer to Durham, can see the Cathedral from the end of our street (on a clear day), my parents live between Ferryhill and Darlington, well for now anyway

You're so lucky to live near Durham city, it's beautiful. Hubby and I went there as part of our honeymoon. I climbed to the top of the cathedral and got some amazing photographs. I expect your home is on one of them!

I think the Northeast will always hold happy memories for me, as we went there for part of our honeymoon, and when I was a child I spent a lot of time there visiting my late grandmother. Her and my grandfather's ashes are scattered in Durham crematorium. I used to go to the Metro Centre and Spennymoor baths quite a lot. I also visited relatives in Darlington and Bishop Auckland
