Feel like I'm back to some sort of normality this week and looking a bit straighter in the house. Not quite there yet but I remember from last time week 2 was the week I found it really making a difference.

Off to get LO up for school run. See you later. x

    Blimey, that oven's mucky!

Having an enforced break because I've used ALL the hot water  and need to wait for it to heat up again. It's taken me nearly three hours to get the glass door and the shelving clean :o Just started washing out the oven pride when the hot water went. Boy, that stuff's amazing!

  • Soappie Good for you clever flylady! :T :T It makes you feel ludicrously good when it's all sparkly! The trick when it's clean, is to put thick foil at the botom of the oven to catch any spills, and wipe it over regularly so you never have to do it like this again.... that's the [STRIKE]lazy[/STRIKE] time efficient flylady way!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

  • Well, I'm going to stop saying she looks brighter, every time I say that she upchucks! This time we've had it both ends! Great. So far today she's had: shower x3 and pyjamas x5! the WM hasn't stopped since 3.30am I've lost count of how many times it's been on. Utterly exhausted, my hands are like sandpaper from washing them, and using anti-bac on everything. I could cry.........

*gives herself a kick up the @rse and a dose of get a grip* *blows loud raspberry*

Ah well, at least it's taking my mind off my blasted sore throat!!!

Now... suggestions required please from anyone available.... To feed or not to feed....??? Do you give your nippers anything when they're so sicky, or do you starve them? I gave her dioralyte, which she kept down, and then some blackcurrant, which she brought straight back. So she's back on the dioralyte. What do you do with yours. I'm not asking for medical advice here... just mummy opinions of what you do with yours?

  • I found this, if it helps:
    Do
    • Only drink clear fluids eg purpose-made electrolyte solutions, or "pop", such as lemonade.
    • Start by just taking sips of fluid, and when the sickness subsides slowly build up the quantity.
    • You may take anti-diarrhoea medications which can help the symptoms, but they do not cure you any quicker.
    Do not
    • Do not eat until at least 24 hours after the last sickness or diarrhoea subsides.
    • Do not drink milk, or drinks containing particles, as these take more digestion and irritate the bowel.
    • Do not take any tablets for headache or fever until the vomiting subsides.
I used to always do this with mine when they were small, although not easy. When I started re-introducing food it was things like toast or crackers (Krackawheat went down well because of the salt), in very small quantities, gradually increasing as the symptoms subsided. Eventually, I would put them on to things like clear soups (vegetable) not creamy ones like tomato or chicken.
