  • Well, Pigpen....you got me! I thought I was being good doing a quick tidy, hang clothes up and hoover in the girls bedrooms before I turned on the computer, then I get here and its not kids bedroom day!!!! Oh well, at least they're reasonably tidy and I did hoover the lounge and stairs so we're not looking too bad.

OK...I have one job for the rest of the day.

    Sort out direct debits

Tried to change bank accounts but new bank messed it up so got to phone all companies we have direct debits with and change them back. At least I got £50 from quidco for changing though!!!

P.S. Pigpen....for what its worth....my vote is Tallulah!!!

    Afternoon all -

wow! A couple of night shifts and I miss 25pages worth! Hugs to all poorly and worried people, esp lady-liberty. Hoping all is well.

I'm doing the "if I pretend I wasn't working all night I'll make it through to the evening without falling asleep in my dinner" thing. Thus I am flying in style and my list is done! I've also achieved a WM load and having dug out an old slo cooker from student days I've discovered I can feed myself for the week on seemingly just one chicken...

Grey day in the Bay here and the decorators are glossing the communal areas of the block. Thus I think I'm disappear into the sofa for the afternoon and think clever dissertation-related thoughts :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I must resist the voice in my head telling me I've been up for 18 hours and it must, therefore, be wine-a-clock...

    it's Friday, treat yourself

Piggers Sorry your MIL is a PITA. That's very sad. I'm with Lil_me on this, I'd rather keep a special time at home, than be around hideous relatives. I am sorry for you troubles though.

It's dreadful isn't it! You're there in the middle of the night 3/4 asleep. thinking if you'd just called me, I could have dealt with this far more expediently, and we'd all be back in bed now. No floor/door/carpet etc cleaning necessary. :( That stuff makes me sad, it's a reminder of her "specialness" IYSWIM

Thanks Dusty and Pollybear I hope so too

Sorry to hear this Gryfon Hope your Doc has something sensible to say. (((hugs)))

PMSL Valli. Thankfully we've got loads of bedding. I could do with a few more mattress protectors. I've got 2 spares, but she went through both of those.

Soappie That sounds so exciting. How lovely to be looking forward to work on Monday. With a new challenge, and a boss that really values your skills!!! ACE!!!!

    Thanks too Vanilla.

She's looking a little brighter now, and was asking for a McDonalds Breakfast!!!     Right before she vommed again!! She currently tucked up in the sofa with a medicine drink' (dioralyte) that she's not impressed with AT ALL!! :p

    *****************************

Typed too soon! She's still chucking poor baby. She's like I was about 10days ago. Evil bug.

Heigh-ho. At least I can be here with her without any drama. There are pluses to being a SAHM. Cos to be sure there's enough minuses to being a one income family!! :rotfl:

hope DD is better soon, i don't like seeing my DD ill like that, i just want to be ill for her, dhe gets so distressed!!!
  • Pigpen - I hope she is OK, but ...............my first thought is what did she do to provoke it??? Calming vibes for PP's blood pressure. x

I phoned the doctors and the nice secretary spoke to a doctor for me and called me back. Says that the things I have should be fine so I can take them. Just dosed myself up on co-codamol. It hurts just to walk around the house though so I'm not sure how I'm quite supposed to carry on doing stuff when I'm in such pain :rotfl: Don't see the other doctor till the 23rd as he's got a long waiting list, and the physio costs lots of money I don't have at the moment :(

Not supposed to rest bad backs now as that doesn't help, they now say that carrying on and gentle exercise is the best way to help them. Think I might find my heat pack and stick that on.

Just drives me nuts when I have everyone out of the house and the small one asleep and I can hardly do anything...grrrrrrr

You have my sympathy honey, but sometimes these things are sent for a reason.... Don't fight it, you've got to take it easy, and that's that. Battling with yourself, and being angry and frustrated is a downward spiral... and best avoided!! I'm being a bossy flylady friend, cos I care. The housework/lists will all be there when you're back to normal.

You've got enough to do with looking after a tiddler. Take care and be good to you.
