I dont think I will bother with the gelatine (source of the problem) again unless I can get it right!! It did get eaten but there were a few faces pulled whilst chewing the lumps!!!
I must be the awfulest cook ever!!!!
You'd think the recipe was foolproof ....... ;-)
Do you not need the gelatine then?? I have all the ingredients except the gelatine and if you don't need it then i'll make it without.
Thanks for this gorgeous recipe, baileys is my fav drink ever and this sounds yummy.

Apprentice Tycoon says in the original post that can make it with out it....( I asume its a bit more gooier, and wont slice so perfectly).
however as I am the only one with the disaster....dont let it put you off. I can ruin anything!!!0 -

Hi mah_jong
I think that you must have been unlucky, using gelatine can a bit tricky, sometimes it can set on contact and you get something like rubber bands running through whatever you have made. One of the main reasons for this is if the cheese mixture is really cold and the gelatine is really hot, if they are closer to the same temperature then it should be OK.
If it does 'seize up' you can melt it all again very gently in a microwave, then you just carry on mixing it in.
If you liked the taste I'd have a go next time without the gelatine or perhaps show the gelatine who's boss.0 -

We bought quite a few bottles before Christmas when Sainsburys had a really good offer on it. I opened one of the bottles on Saturday thinking exactly the same thing as you Ladygrey ~ it was fine though
Just saw this thread pop up and thought I might change my mind for my dinner party desert on Saturday......Mmmmmmm“I tell you, we are here on Earth to fart around, and don't let anybody tell you different.”
