I baked on Friday - 2 apple braids, an apple pie, a loaf of bread, 12 butterfly buns, pizza, garlic dough ballsI made pancakes for the children's breakfast today.
I'll add this to the Old Style Daily thread where we talk about the ups and downs of our Old Style days, especially what we've been cooking

normally cook lots more, but for today just easy stuff, living from fridge and cupboard - so chunky veg soup (raided veg drawer), then used third of that added to bulk out mince for bolognese. Fancied something sweet but couln't be bothered baking (not like me), so just melted few squares value choc, added little syrup and butter & crushed digestives. Tasty, does the job.
Later remembered had a 50p pineapple - mmmmmmhhhhh !!!No cook required - tomorrow will put some of that in tin, add little syrup then mix up a basic sponge to pour over it, quick upside down pud - last time I did that I found it tasted great cold too. Dunno if it would freeze - anyone know about pineapple ? CheersFinally Debt Free (£8k to zero) yay! :j :j

Hello everybody,
meant to be in bed by now but have had lots of people calling to-day as it is Ulick's 68th birthday, he has been a bit grumpy all day, not sure why but I suppose that he has been in very good humour up to now and he's bound to feel it a bit that he can't have a drink on his birthday...realised after he went to bed that his favourite sister who lives in the US rang sometime this afternoon and we missed the call, will get him to call her to-morrow.
Hugs to all who are in need or want, congratulations to all celebrating, thank you all for being my friendsWeight 08 February 86kg0
