    Morning all

Very wet here in the midlands today...
My twins are 5 months old today so happy birthday to them!!!!
I think we are off to start our chrismas shopping today at our local shopping center. Got extra to buy this year with the twins.
But im sure that the grand mothers will buy and spoil them a lot more than us.

We had one of them things that show you how much and the cost of the elce you are useing come off our elec company the other week....
And its great it really helps you get get to grips with what you are useing and show you that buy just turning somhing off that you are not useing can really make a diffrence. Thay cost £49.99 to buy. But southan elce give them away free with there better plan.
So we are hoping to save some money by keep our eye on this.

I hope that you all have a good day if your out and about try not to get to wet!!!!!!
    Enjoy yourselfs folks
:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j

Will hang it all off the upstairs picture rails which are really useful for this:D Will be going back to his lodgings with him tomorrow to give it the once over.Must pick up a card and present for his landlady who has done a great job of looking after him for the last year.

    Morning all,

Very wet and windy here, they said its going to get worse over the weekend too  . Will have to brave it at some point and take little dog out for a walk, she hates the rain so it will have to be a quick one. Other than that I think we might go to the local village of many charity shops for a nosy, might be able to pick up some stocking fillers for my dd. I have done a lot of my xmas shoping already, all online, but I have not got my oh, as he does not know what he wants, and its his birthday in Dec too

Tacos for tea, nice and easy, I might get OH to cook them, then its X-factor :T .
OS wise I will be hoovering through and cleaning kitchen and bathroom, make the beds and generally tidy. I have a wash on which will have to go on the airer, and the bin needs emptying cos there is a horrible smell coming from it :o .

Aussie, I see you taking your bra off diddn't get a mention, perhaps noone noticed :D :rotfl: , well done for protesting though x

Smoky hope you are ok xx

    Hugs where needed xx

Morning Ann, hope you are not too stiff today xx, No she does not have a coat, I might have to get her one, although my OH would be mortified to walk her in one with a hood on :D :rotfl: I might get her one that just goes around her body, although I am not sure it will make any difference though, she literally tiptoes around puddles, and she is supposed to be a hardy terrier :rotfl:
  • Morning Chums , bit damp at the moment here in North Kent but I'm feeling very full of myself .Handed in my first essay at college yesterday, so one down, only another two to go.
Decided to do an inventory of my F/freezer and was surprised at how much stuff is still in there .The meat is slowly going down but I seem to have qute a bit of fish, so it looks like I shall be eating fish for a week.
I have been trying to work it down for over a month and it seems never ending. Found a nice Ham Hock in the bottom of the shelf that I may do in the SC next week.I know I have some dried peas in the cupboard that haven't been opened. Maybe a nice thick ham 'n'pea soup Mmmm sound quite wintery doesn't it .The SC is on at the moment and I have a big pot of slightly past their best veggies from the fridge cooking away with some split peas and lentils. Anyone put asparagas in a SC of soup ? as I have about 4 stalks looking rather sad in the veggie trolley .Oh well if it taste o.k. I'll eat it I guess.
I also seem to have quite a few apples so I may do a crumble to use them up. NSD today as I have more than enough to keep me going.
DD said she would pop round later for some coffee. She is painting her sons room as a surprise for him ,he has gone off to London for the week-end with his girlfriend . He's got his car at long last and can't wait to get on the road ,that will soon wear off when he starts to buy petrol.
Well I have a Cornish pastie for lunch with some mashed spud and mixed veg all from the freezer. This afternoon I will get stuck into wrapping some pressies for Christmas ,tonight I will watch the Rememberance Service as usual on t.v..My nephew Hughie is in it, as he is every year He usually carries the crook-like thing. I think its called a 'crozier' but I'm not sure. He's a lovely chap, and he travels down from Lancashire every year for the ceremony. He will be on the road back tonight around 10.30 bless him as he likes to be back in his parish for morning service ,plus of course the morning Rememberance Day parade.Well time I got a wriggle on, I hope everyone has a good week-end, and <<hugs>> to those alone or in need of them
    Take care everyone
    JackieO xx
I am in a definitely 'use it up mode' this morning .

Sybil - just seen your post from yesterday, I can't believe how much you are doing, slow down woman! My bread has gone concave when I've added too much water, and again when I added too much yeast, think it rose too fast and then sank! Didn't taste much different, just made strange looking sarnies lol!

Candy - congrats on the pinkness!

Ann - hope you don't ache too much today. Also hope you're going to contact the supermarket and let them know what happened to you, we usually send flowers and chocs if someone is hurt. Guess you could ask for a voucher instead!

Hi Ann - Thanks for remembering about my wee Dylan! He is much improved, very happy in himself though not producing that many "presents" for me in the litter tray. I'm under no illusion though that he is never going to get truly better - his insides are damaged and it's unlikely he'll reach retirement. It's one day at a time for him, and for now at least they are good days. (And long may it continue, I've already spent £500++ on this ailment:eek::eek: not that money is a factor but at the same time I don't have bottomless pits for pockets.)

    And good morning everyone else!!

I've been a bit elusive lately - I've been so tired every evening after wo*k. OK so I am a lazy cow and just end up slumped in front of the telly most of the time. Old style has gone to pot, the house is a worse mess than ever before and I seem to be eating out of packets or just having sandwiches. I'm an Old Style disaster zone.

Sorry, I haven't read too much lately, but I hope everyone is OK and that there aren't too many cold and flu bugs about.

    Bye

    Snowy

PS: Aussielass, OMG you went on the telly with no bra on, you HUSSY!!!!!:rotfl::T:rotfl:

Ruby :p Actually my bra was still intact, as I'm afraid nobody would have noticed if it was off. Imagine [strike]flat[/strike] petite. :D

Bookie Hope you feel better week this week.
Beth Enjoy your re-union & hope all goes well for both DB's.

Well home again. Had tea and I've a nice big glass of red next to me. :D DH said it wasn't on the news tonight so I'll have to watch it the next few nights. The other island that had the afternoon meeting was well attended too. :T I'm usually hit and miss with the news. Lately it's been about the USA election or the recession that everybody is having. Really puts a smile on your face.

It's raining here now. When it gets so humid during the day you know you are in for a storm. At least it's made it a bit cooler. Ol Sour Puss from the shop has gone. Bit mysterious as it's been shut all this week and now new owners took over today. I've heard 3 different versions already. :D I won't bore you with them but if anyone is remotely interested I can spill the beans. ;)

DH out of the shower so my turn. :D Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Snowy Calm down dear. Deep breaths. I never said that. All that cat poo has gone to your head.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)
