It's fixed for 12 months from account opening but you can't get one anymore.
I have one, but just wondering if they are able to change rate, despite saying it is fixed. What is the difference between their 'fixed' and other banks with fixed bonds?
I think I am just getting paranoid.0 -

Nothing, apart from the ability to make unlimited deposits and withdrawals. Fixed means fixed just like variable means variable......under construction.... COVID is a [discontinued] scam0

Still no change.
How odd.
What's occurring??0 -
I've just had a very horrible thought!
What if they decide to stop any further deposits being made into the fixed 6.3% account? _pale_“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

I certainly hope so!“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
Thus, if the worst did come to the worst you would be unable to make additional deposits and only earn interest at the contractual rate on what was left in there on the effective date - rendering the Egg account into a 'bond'
Ooops! didn't notice you'd already suggested something similar when I posted above“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

Could the two of you stop putting ideas in their mind please:D
At least the rates for current savers remain unchanged for the mo, and they don't seem overly eager to get new funds in.0
