Phew, I'm quite glad I managed to get in on one of their 6.3% "fixed for 12 months" easy access savers. Will not be surprised to see their variable rates plummet, though.

Since using Egg for Egg Credit Cards/green and blue variety and Egg Savings over the last 4-5 years, I have always found them very good and EMM.
However I'm curious why other mainstream banks feel the need to raise or lower rates, they do so pretty quickly but why are Egg taking so much time out? Have their calculators got stuck?

I think they are waiting for all the other banks etc. so they can compare and make sure not everyone goes off to them. They need money still.

I reckon they will drop savings rates and say its from last week.... Won't be happy if they do that though.

It's fixed for 12 months from account opening but you can't get one anymore.
