they need to work in our local, when the accessorise hat boxes were going through for £2.50 the sa jumped off he chair and reserved her self one under the till:silenced:

I bought two of these for one of the nicest of our local SA's last year when she was practically crying over her till at the thought of missing them and met her in the coffee shop next door when she came off shift. They're not supposed to put things aside while they're working, apparently, and Mr Boots can get pretty annoyed with staff that flout this rule.

    I believe mens No7 is still on 3for2 - isn't £12 of mens No7 just 2 items? You're doing yourself out of a free 3rd item.

    Plus, aren't the £6 items now £6.50?

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong?

Thankyou :) How would i get to the oracle from the train station?
I will probably catch the train around 11 so be at reading about 11.30 :) Im also hoping to get mens no 7 gwp and metallic pencils. :)

Go to Traveline South East and in the "from" field put "Reading Station" and in the "to" field put "the oracle". It will give you options for how to get there and maps; the final option will just be how to walk there (the others will show buses); you'll probably want to walk as it's not far.

Note that there are basically two different buildings in which you can enter the Oracle -- the entrance you want is next to Pret a Manger & Coffee Republic, Boots is at the top of the escalator. :)

I got the clam shell GWP a couple of days ago and when I opened it the gold eye shadow stuff had burst over everything inside the tissue paper?
Do you think its cheeky to take it back?

Well I'd take it back. It's advertised as a GWP, and you would expect it to be in perfect condition, so you could give it to someone as a gift, if you wanted to.

Get another one and ask to see the Manager, and then he/she can swap them.

Sounds like a good shop to me :T But bear in mind that I'm pretty sure the mens things are £6.50 now, and also the £3 mens acm voucher will probably only be offered to male ac holders - wasn't in mine :(
  • Please can anyone else report if the ts/pinky combo has worked for them today? I was just about to go and catchthe train to reading. I wont go if its not working anymore.

Hi, I did this three times on a SS till today(after 1 hour travelling), the first one I did with P&P eye cream, paid £6,then followed by P &P lip care which the SS till gave me £0.75 change back. The assistant was not far away and I was brave enough to ask for one voucher for the £6 spending. I walked out with my last pair of ts/pinky as I was shaking while doing these two transations(the girl next till turned around and looked at me when she heard: one free, one free---). Then I went back again as I don't want to travel again, picked up another lip care, quickly used the ts/pinky, took the change, run out the shop. Now, I wish that I used the last pair for a P & P day or night cream as I have already had enough lip care stuff, anyway, I have never been able to think clearly when bootsing . :o

quote=image3;15648063]Please can someone advise - I am trying to find face cleansing products that do not have alcohol in them. I was told by one assistant in Boots to use the simple range but even their wipes that say 100% alcohol and perfume free have got alcohol listed in the ingredients. I am currently trying the AVENE range of samples but not too keen on the cleanser. Any help would be appreciated thanks.
    [/quote]

Even the oncologist advised me to use all Simple products whilst I was having treatment, as it's "the one thing that won't irritate your skin".

Why not contact Simple at http://www.simple.co.uk/Contact-Simple.aspx
& explain your situation, and ask if they'd send you some sample wipes to try? HTH (I'm getting so flash now with all the abbreviations!)

OMG I remember that - after I'd just offered to get one for the nice lady at the pharmacy and she'd said they weren't allowed to - that young blonde one, she nearly took the chair with her :rotfl:
