Where's PALICE when you need her? She is sssoooo good at this kind of stuff! I'll try explain, but without getting into why it is hard lol

Simple wipes can say they are Alcohol free because they only contain things like Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Myristyl Alcohol and Behenyl Alcohol depending on what wipes you have.

These types of Alcohol are classed as "Fatty Alcohols" that occur naturally in small quantities in plants and animals etc. These are not the types of Alcohols which cause reactions. The term ‘Alcohol' means only that the ingredient has been distilled during its manufacture.

So simple wipes can say they are Alcohol free etc :)

If you have any other brands, the 'Alcohols' you need to avoid are: ‘Alcohol', ‘Alcohol Denat' or 'Ethyl Alcohol'

So use your Simple wipes and watch out for the above 3 ingredients in products in the future :)

Crikey me I wish I had consulted this thread months ago :T I have suffered for ages and literally avoided all alcohol based products. I have also spent loads on stuff I cannot use. Thanks for the info

Even the oncologist advised me to use all Simple products whilst I was having treatment, as it's "the one thing that won't irritate your skin".

Why not contact Simple at http://www.simple.co.uk/Contact-Simple.aspx
& explain your situation, and ask if they'd send you some sample wipes to try? HTH (I'm getting so flash now with all the abbreviations!)[/quote]

Hi Sandra, after reading everyones comments I am going to try the simple wipes as I purchased these recently. I have tried so many different types that these are worth a go.

Mimi has had an idea, probably won't work, but here goes. Buy a MEN'S TIME DELAY product. Use the 10% off (found in the little men's magazine), use ACM voucher for 100 extra points, use magazine voucher for 200 extra points. Probably won't work, but worth giving it a shot?
Hey Mimi it does ;) Cheapest Mens TD I could find was £3.29

Lots of shelves being filled tonight at Meadowhall. Could not see the star palettes or compact mirror but lots of No7 mini compacts at £10.

Good news - both my pinkie and t/s was accepted by SA for 3 No 7 products with gwp. Did not try SS tills as SA's hovering. I did manage also to get 250 points but this was added manually. Very pleased :j

Yes and there is code for 10% of wys £75 exp 11/11 it seems the code will still work even if you do not to the boots site directly through paypal, so don't forget to use topcashback/greasypalm etc for potential cashback. hth
  • I usually use ss tills at meadowhall, as staff just void the vouchers without even looking e.g mitchum.
Also, manage to womble lots of spits.
You know if you buy say the £4.00 sponges and used pinkie and ts, would it take £6 off the rest of your shopping, as I don't really wan tot be getting change that I shouldn't really have?
