Can anyone tell me what Boots will not take back if you get as a gift please? Someone gave me an electric blanket for a double bed and we only have a king size bed. Thanks
Generally it is just cosmetics etc they will not exchange. If your taking it back to pay extra for a kingsize it will not be an issue to simply pay more etc. If you want something different they will not give you a credit note etc generally, but want you to an exchange.
Alot of the time the high priced electrical goods have a 'void when tampered' with sticker, make sure you do not break that if it is present though0 -
Does anyone know if the Braun Thermoscan ear thermometer has £5 off instore like it does currently on .com? (Usual price £39.99)
It's just I've noticed that I have the voucher from the Baby & You catalogue for £5 off it, and I've had a HC mailing today (well yesterday now) which had a voucher in it for £5 off it, interestingly with a different barcode
Brilliant thermometer, even better at a brilliant price if you catch my drift3 children under 5 means not enough comping and crafting time
August wins: Krisprolls tin :rotfl:
September wins: £100 H&M gift card0 -
I have 2 different coupons for £5 off BRAUN Thermoscan ear thermometer (one from baby and you magazine, another from health club). Normal price is £40. I already bought it few years ago (my local had them on sale, half price, £20) so don't need another one. £30 is not a bargain, but may be useful for ones with newborns that anyway want accurate and easy to use thermometer. If anyone wants these coupons PM me with your address.
Edited: both valid till 31/01/2009 so plenty of time to use them. Check your local store - it may have them for £20 as mine had (months ago, but you never know!)0 -
Got my friend this set HERE it is £10.59, shipping is £3.99(£14.58)
The ear thermometer comes with a dummy one free
If your not sure whether a baby/toddler will let you use the ear one then it may be a good buy?
My DS would never let me put the one I paid £40 ish for in his ear! He never did dummies and i'm frightened of the traditional glass ones breaking, just use the forehead strips, they are not that accurate, but they give you a fair indication of the possibility of your baby spontaneously combusting0 -
A quick question I hope somebody can answer for me please, do the combinations that work on .com always work instore as well?
i.e. if something's going into the basket at 342 will it do the same instore?
TIA0 -

Also, manage to womble lots of spits.
You know if you buy say the £4.00 sponges and used pinkie and ts, would it take £6 off the rest of your shopping, as I don't really wan tot be getting change that I shouldn't really have?
Hi Hollylangman37, I have never had any change from using both spit and pinkie, as my shopping is always more than £10, and generally stuck with the 3 4 2 to gain gwp. But off a £12 total shop which includes a No7 item then using both would work and you would have to pay £2. HTH0 -

You bad bad girl. LOL. I thought women were meant to be sweet and innocent and huggy and cuddly!
Think I'll be going to the Leeds store today. Will take back 2 x MEN's GWP, not opened and swap for WOMEN's GWP. Gonna do the Tan Maintainer x 2 + GWP, TILL SPIT, and £5 to pay. See if it works. Also gonna get a few TIME DELAY FOR MEN + 10% off + 100 ACM points + 200 MAG points. And finally, gonna do some TIME DELAY EYE REDUCTION/PREVENTION CREAM + Blue combos too. Thinking of buying some NO 7 TRINKET TRIO + 150 MAG voucher for LIMITED EDITION SEASONAL stuff. Woohoo.
Have a good day all, and don't forget Mariah is on X FACTOR!0 -

That's not quite right - if the sponges are £4, it would only take off the value of the sponges twice, so £8 off the total.0 -

All promotional combinations on .com should be the same in store and as advertised in the Boots brochure. If you are talking about glitches etc then this is trial and error. I have read on here about people getting some fab deals on .com but then when tried in store it does not always work. Good luck with your shopping0
