You need a good aerial for Freeview. I had to change mine.hostertlady wrote: »sorry to jump onto your thread but i bought a tv(built in freeview) for upstairs and have yet to watch it.. i thought it would be a case of just plug it it and away cos of the built in channels but it says no signal.. i tried using the ariel off my daughters telly and it still says no signal!! i gave up in the end and it just sits on the dressing table.. but looking through the threads i thought someone could advise me what i need to buy please..0 -
Honestly it's the aerial, my old aerial only pulled in ITV and BBC, smashing picture but it would not pull in any Freeview channels, you are probably in a bad area like me anyway and need the extra oomph.hostertlady wrote: »Tony,

He is being serious, a little portable aerial may pick up analogue pictures but to get digital reception you need a decent aerial preferably outside.0 -

My son has an indoor aerial that can pull the Freeview channels in, he is in a good area though, quite high up. I suggest you run a cable extension from your roof aerial, just join some aerial cable on to your existing one.hostertlady wrote: »i have got one on the roof.. and that does the downstairs telly in the front room.. i need to make my upstairs telly work so need indoor ariel yes/no??
