yeah, your so right. im sorry. i just get upset hearing that garbage.

Im worried i dont have enough time, i think most places are picking up soon.
My biggest issue so far has been getting the shoe boxes! i cant find any in my house and im not sure where to do to get some.

got some great little gifts for them though :)

I managed to get quite a few boxes from Faith shoe shop - the staff were really helpful.

    - a lot of places rip up their unwanted shoeboxes throughout the day so it might be best to call in the morning and ask them to save boxes for you to collect later.
  •
...as i was saying, anyone know where i can get shoeboxes?

EDIT - Thanks snoony2, ill give that a go tommorow. Ill try and catch them around opening :)

Like I said - think of the kids.

    Duder

I personally had no qualms in giving to operation christmas child last year but I personally, now, after having read about link romania, would personally prefer to give to a family and not just a child. Mums, dads, grandparents, uncles, aunts, etc........ need things too. I will be packing my boxes as full as I can with tights, toothbruses, hair brushes, hair clips and bobbles, toys, pens, soap and some nice jewellery for the mums and nans and razors for the men and anything else I can think of.

I say - think of them all.

Put a smile on everyones face :D

With link Romania, can you do local drop offs?
I like the idea that they let you have total control over the box. Thanks for the ideas about what to put in for all the family :)

With regards to shoe boxes I got mine from nike reebok and adidas stores in my local retail park - I asked for five boxes from each and told them what they were for and got them :-).
Best of all, Nike gave me 2 mini footballs and some small childrens socks (2 pairs in pack) x3 so a gift for every box. I did try to coax adidas but wouldnt have it and I had gone to Reebok first but would also have tried them.
Maybe its worth a try when asking for the boxes!!

Nike were fantastic, really made my day :-)

I am getting all the kids in my family and thier parents to fill a box and my parents are paying the costs for sending the boxes (2x£1 for each one).
