" I strongly believe in not imposing your beliefs and values on others."

But that's precisely what Samaritan's Purse do.

Choosing to send a box through a non-religious organisation is not imposing beliefs on anyone, is it? It's simply giving a gift, without any strings attached.

Quite frankly I don't care what pamphlet they put in the box as long as they give it to a child !!!!

My family always send loads of these every year, I will be taking 12 to school on Monday, as poster above states I buy things cheaply all year, save McD toys etc

  • I notice no-one does anything like this for animals - you have endless charities and children in need etc - but never anything for animals .
Thats where my money will go anyway.
I also dont believe in giving to all these other countries either -there''re enough needy people /animals in our own country .
The government is too keen on throwing money to foreigners - what about looking after ourselves for a change !
Not a christian either - not religious at all .
  • I`ve got bags and bags of stuff to send to the sorting point, I don`t box it anymore as last year I couldn`t get any shoeboxes.
I like buying the stuff, its makes those trips to home bargains all the more interesting!
Re the religious stuff, I have no beliefs - none what so ever. I do believe those kids deserve something though, and I am happy to give it.

I'm sure the kids receiving the gifts aren't bothered where they come from. All that matters is that they receive their boxes which I presume they do??

Im sorry but what a load of crap.
"our government is too keen on throwing money to foreigners" !!!! What? for AIDS treatments and to prevent starvation and famine? Im sorry, i cant see where that is a bad thing?

"look after ourselves for a change"!!!! again! We will never know poverty a million of what these children do, because of our benefits systems and healthcare... my god. what a narrow minded horrible thing to say.

I will be doing an extra bloody box just because people like you exist in this world.

Interesting views and I respect the views of ALL. Even though I might not share them. I would point out though that I believe that British people give more money to animal charities than any other (check out "enable"s poster campaign in Scotland last year).

I view all as equal regardless of which country we were born in and whether we are religious or not. I think we should avoid getting into a harmful and negative debate, terming others as "foreigners" etc and just accept that everyone has different opinions and that there are many in need, worthy and deserving of the help of others. Mammals and human beings of all countries alike.
