It actually works out at the same rate of pay for local experts as before (well actually 3p per review more), except now everyone gets that from the offset as long as their reviews are good enough. Which is pretty much the same as before too as you'd get "promoted" to local expert after the first lot of reviews and they would all then be counted at a higher rate of pay.
£5 for 15 reviews = 33p per review. It just makes it sound like you're getting more for your effort by splitting it into 15 review chunks - you still need to write 300 reviews in a month to achieve their £100 incentive.
I like BView and write for them from time to time but, as you can only write about UK places on there, it's not a site I can write for constantly - there's no way I visit 300 different UK businesses every month lol!
If you're looking to write for them though the staff are really friendly and they pay on time. I've never had any issues while being a local expert for them ...other than not having enough businesses to review every month.£2 Savers Club no.91 = ?? (unknown until full and counted)
Review writing = £3.60 + $25.00
Myhpf = £4.45
STP = £1.82 v10.040 -
I got paid on time (in fact earlier than they said) too. Quite happy with it so far and you're right they are friendly.0

So email Simon and tell him so and I am sure he will change it. No one is perfect!
I have been writing for bView for a while now and enjoy it very much. As everyone else has said, they pay up promptly and always respond to emails or internal messages, and usually very quickly too. But reviewing is not a 'Get rich quick' scheme, its a way to make a little extra every month, not a career!

Why should I? Where do they get the info from? wonder what right they have putting up wrong info for all to see?:footie:0 -
Red Devil, I don't think you've quite got the idea. You can go in and edit the details yourself if it bothers you, and take 'ownership' of the listing. They actively encourage business owners to do so.
And as to why should you, well, do you want the right details up there or not? People add entries all the time so it's quite possible a reviewer got the date wrong. Your sense of outrage is a little out of proportion to the crime, I fear.0 -
hows this going and also you have to take the cost of being on the pc into consideration dont you as you do with all these things?
I guess if you are on dial up then the electricity might be a factor but I think most people are on broadband these days and tend to be doing other things as well as reviewing.what about time spent on the net electricity has to come off dosent it?is that well paid 15 reviews at 150 words dosent sound like much to me???£5 dosent strike me alot what do people think?i looked up our business on there ha ha they got the date wrong the business was established.Why should I? Where do they get the info from? wonder what right they have putting up wrong info for all to see?
Ok, I have put all your comments on here in quotes because I want to just ask why the negativity?
This site is offering to pay people for their reviews. The staff are polite and they pay promptly. No-one is forced to write and if you think the rate is too low then don't do it hon! As for incorrect info, as Sarah said, you have three options..- If it's your business you can go in and take 'control' and make sure it is all accurate
- If you just work for them you can just change it yourself in an edit
- OR you can mail Simon and he will correct it.
