I got the same email, worth pointing out that each review has to be at least 100 words long.

I agree with you direwolf, if you didn't meet the criteria for Local Expert and were only paid 15p each review, 100 reviews would net you the princely sum of £15. Not a lot of dosh for a fair bit of effort!!

It can be worth it though.
I'm a regional expert and get 30p a review now.
I've also had a £10 Victoria wine voucher and a data storage device.
I've managed to get over £30 of amazon vouchers and i don't think i've spent long writing reviews.
100 words is actually an easy amount to write (use MS word, then word count, it soon adds up)
They have a lot of competitions running whereby you can win an ipod etc.
Its not difficult work and can be fun!

If you live in a slightly rural area it helps. Loads of reviewers are in London and they are always on the look out for reviews of other areas.
    Veni, Vidi, Visa. I came, I saw, I shopped:rolleyes:

Thanks for this. I looked at the site but couldn't find how you get paid. I had probs with paypal in the past, so can they send a cheque?

I've given up on Bview. I wrote my 100 reviews originally and got my Amazon vouchers. Then I was invited to write more for more vouchers. I did as they asked and have emailed them several times, but I have never received a reply. They also said they would send a gift to my address, but I never received that either. I reread my new reviews and the quality seemed as good as my previous reviews and certainly no worse than others on the site! I'm not going to keep writing reviews if they aren't going to bother replying to emails.

Just a note to say my Bview problems have been solved. My emails seem to have got lost in the ether, but at least they are reading these forums!

    Hi samina_h
Those reviews are great, mmmmm especially the choccy one, but to pay the reviewer only 50p. Are you not being a bit stingy?

  • Hi Kippy,

Following your feedback and after speaking with our Community Champions, we went back to the drawing board and created more offers. We are still paying 50p a review to our Community Champions but have added extra ways to earn more. Also in an effort to make it fairer we have decided that from December, we’ll pay 30p for the first ten reviews as long as the reviews meet the standards of our Local Experts.

When searching for Local Experts we look for:
    • catchy creative titles
    • minimum of 100 words
    • useful, insightful and descriptive reviews. We like to hear about your experiences!
    • pictures and tags on the reviews

Some of our Local Experts have already hit their £100 target this month!

We also know that we need to create an account area on the website for earnings. We’re working on this but for now we are manually counting reviews and keeping track. I plan to make payments before the 7th of each month and ask our members to send me their details for their chosen payment method.

Please feel free to contact me with questions.

    Best,
