Parking Ticket Appeals successes and failures

We recently parked in a Lidl carpark and apparently overstayed my carparking by 15min.
Town & Country sent a PCN for £90. Exact same as what is the library of EG letters.
I fire off a letter to T & C informing them I was not driver at the time and will not be telling them my wife was actually the driver and that pursuit of this PCN I will deem as harassment and be informing the relevant persons.
Yesterday I receive a letter from T & C telling me they have cancelled the PCN and thanking me for allowing persons to park at Lidl.
Wow !!! That was a bit easy process, I was all geared up for more than a fight than that.
Has anybody received this letter ?
thank you all Thread fonts for all your stickies. : -) :rotfl:

9:35 on Thursday morning I dropped my husband off at the underground station, (he has a senior citizen travel ticket and therefore I am sure the time can be quantified by his ticket), there were zig zag lines outside the station so I moved up to the bus stop and let him out and drove off immediately to work (the roads were empty). I was there for less than five seconds while he got himself out of the car. Today I received a parking fine for stopping. I am not aware of the area and neither I or my husband saw any clear signs that we could not drop off - the roads were empty!!! Do you think I have any chance at appealling £65 is a lot of money for dropping someone off at the station.0

hi guys my wife parked in swanley town centre car park the disabled parking bays were full so she parked in a normal bay,she displayed her blue badge in the windscreen as usual and when she returned to her car there was a parking charge ticket from town and city parking and the disabled badge was on the floor of the car,it had obviously slipped down,i immediately appealed......but heard nothing until yesterday when a letter arrived demanding £60....they've completely ignored the appeal even though i have proof of delivery....didn't even realise the ticket was from a private parking company.....sould i just ignore the tickets?0
-
Ignore them from here on in, they are private parking company so their fake tickets can be used for the cat litter tray. By the way the blue badge scheme doesn't apply to private car parks, check the handbook it came with. Who by the way gave the invoice and who is writing to you now ?Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
The whole private parking business relies on misrepresentation of authority. They are not the council, police or government, so they can't legally issue fines or penalties. All they have sent you is a civil invoice, which you have no legal obligation to pay or acknowledge.
Contacting them is generally a waste of time, their appeals process is worthless as it is not run by an impartial third party but rather by themselves so it's obviously within their interests to reject it.
Over 99.9% of the time they will not take you to court, because the more times they take people to court, and lose, the more chance that other members of the public get to hear that the invoices can be ignored. This would then lead to parking companies having no income because there would be no more gullible people left!
Taking people to court actually hurts their business ... Which is why they hardly ever try it.
Out of over 1.1 million private parking invoices issued last year only 49 were heard before a court and the parking companies lost half of those. The word "gullible" isn't in the dictionaryTickets: 19 [cancelled: 18, paid: 0, pending: 1]
PPC Appeals: 8 [accepted: 2, rejected: 5, pending: 1]
POPLA: 4 [accepted: 4, rejected: 0, pending: 0]0 -

ThanksI meant which company is writing to you, there are debt collectors and fake solicitors in the scam, they try and legitimise this scam by having the cheek to say a debt is due, which is a lie as it hasn't been to court, and the fact that they say you have an account, did you open an account with them ? Me don't think so !
