I was recently unfairly clamped and had to pay an extortionate sum (in cash only!) to be released. The name of the company on the signage was different from that on the ticket - both operate from P.O. Box addresses.

I have appealed, within the deadline, to the company on the ticket, but have received no reply. Who should I take action against? Can you take companies that operate from P.O. Boxes to court?

This thread is only for reporting parking ticket successes and failures.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Having received a parking charge notice from G24 for over staying in a car park I went straight back to the store and asked to speak to the manager.
I told him that the store had failed in its duty of care to it's customers by: :(
    1. Not displaying any notice within the store reminding customers of the limited parking.
    2. The store did not broadcast over they tannoy the formentioned warning.
    3. As I was talking at great lenght to one of their sales people he should have reminded me of the time limit.
At this point the store manager asked one of his staff the ring the ppc and get it canceled.
Yesterday I got a letter from the ppc saying it had been waived. :T

Good for you. Not sure you can cancel something that is unenforceable in the first place anyway though!
  • I took my son to visit Calfornia Academy of Sciences, located in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, CA yesterday. Their parking lot was full. I parked in the Golden Gate park where it is posted 3 hours free parking from 7:00 am-7:00 pm. After 2 hours of parking, I moved the car 1/2 mile away on the opposite side on the road in the park. I got a parking ticket based on my first parking at 11:15 am. According to me, since I moved the car within the first 3 hours, I should not have received this ticket. It seems unbelievable. Please advise if you know another way or logic to fight off this parking ticket.

    Thanks for any guidance.

    Do not pay

This ticket is NOT a fine and CANNOT be enforced in any court of law.

The contents of any 'ticket' or letters that you may receive from them, or anyone acting on their 'behalf' is utter rubbish.

They will NOT take you to court, ruin your credit rating or bring the baliffs round

They do NOT have the law on there side

OP ignore them, do not enter into any arguments with them or agreements
There letters are meaningless, they know this, a lot of people are starting to learn this.

There threats are worthless, they make them in hope of someone paying whom doesn't know they can't do anything.

The only thing they can do is, give up!

Bin the letters or make a paper chain, they will stop soon enough.

    Don't worry :)

    Hello,
I don't know if you realize this, but this is a UK based forum. As you live in the USA it might be better if you ask this question on a USA based forum. This is because of the difference between laws (both civil and criminal) between the two countries.

Do you mean "train station" and ""of"" instead of with etc.??
