U were all right about this being addictive, trying to restrain myself from doing OH one :o Hes an Arsenal fan and I after seeing Rusty's fab NUFC hamper i wanna make him an Arsenal one. I'm trying to restrain that one for his birthday in June though but our anniversary is the 6th Jan so i need ideas for that :rotfl:

On the theme of a 'LURVE' hamper what about these

www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0010XBKTG/ref=ord_cart_shr?%5Fencoding=UTF8&m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE
and

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Love-Life-Chocolate-Shaped-Candles/dp/B0010XBKV4/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=kitchen&qid=1227478411&sr=1-5

or
www.amazon.co.uk/Table-Trivia-You-and-Me/dp/B0010X3TL8/ref=pd_bxgy_kh_img_b

there are several items that are quite fun that could go towards a love type hamper mind you I've not read the last 3 pages of this thread yet so you may have loads of ideas by now!!

Good luck!

I will try to improve them so more for the adult hampers! Not sure kids care too much about the basket/cellophane decoration (trouble is i do lol)

The chocolate on stirers look lovely! May have to steal that idea!

Hampers are lookin fab everyone , keep up the hard work

and i agree this hamper stuff is addictive lol!

Dr Fluffy - Great hamper and don't worry, even if your mum does come on here I don't think she will recognise you - unless you were christened Dr Fluffy ;)

Jess - stop worrying your baskets look fine, plus they are more suited to kids than the wicker ones as they can use them to put toys in.

Sophiesmum - how resourceful are you? Very impressed at how much like the "real" thing they look

I've finished MIL hamper today and attempted my first towel cake after being inspired by this board

Hamper for MIL

Lots of Dove stuff bought with BOGOFs, white towel and bath puff. Zambuk is stuff she used to use years ago that I managed to track down on e-bay and some bars of choccie (hidden at the back)

PS Thanks to Rusty for the Photobucket tip. I now have an account and can do proper sized pics :j

I am starting a red themed one for my lovely mum whose birthday is the 2nd jan, any ideas?

I have a necklace and earring set from evans reduced to 3 pounds and then my friends staff discount on top!
Red hand towel
Cranberry candles
Red box of toffees

How about Lux shower gel/bath stuff, they do a nice deep red one called something like wine and roses, some kind of red coloured face mask? hand wash, red foil covered choc hearts, there's bound to be loads of smelly sets in the sales that you can break up and use, perfume in a red bottle, cranberry liqueur, cherry brandy (is that red??!!), scarf/gloves. Can't think of anything else at the mo!!!

hth
I want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul, I want you to notice when I'm not around
• What about red wine?

Some red satin pyjamas from primark or somewhere? they are about £4

Has anyone here used foil wrap for hampers instead of cellophane ?
Had another look at the two I've done this morning and they look awful !! Thought maybe if I used some foil they'd look better.

I have seen people use parcel paper and cling film but not foil , , i too was not happy with the presentation of my baskets!

Can some one please give me the most broken down method of wrapping the baskets in cellophane! Only i am just about ready to rip the cellophane off lol!

Im worried those plastic basket covered in wrapping paper dont look nice? what do you think(honestly)

Also i have just realized i have way more hampers too do then i originally thought!

I have made two so far(the ones i posted)

I need one for a 4 year old girl i hardly see (the half sister of the little boys hamper i made) So im hoping to do her a mini one for under £5.00

I need to do all together 17 hampers :O but then again two hampers for under £10.00 if i continue that way i should be able to do them for under £100.. hopefully

Jess, your baskets are fab :T and that kind of basket is so useful for kiddies to store bits and bobs in (and much more child freidnly as they can't hurt themselves on sticking out bits of wicker).

For a 4yo I think I'd go for craft stuff. Do you have a Works near you? I picked up some great Disney Princess stationery kits in there for 99p each. You could easily take the bits out of the packaging like you've done for the 2 baskets you've posted.
