I've done my very first basket today after being inspired by the stories and pictures on here. I'm doing 2 which are nearly the same and although I haven't got any pictures I thought I would include the details if that's ok? Both are "foodie" hampers and I used items which were mostly on offer in Sainsburys and also in Home Bargains. I've yet to get a basket for the one but the other one was free.

Hamper one (friend and her partner)
Sainsburys Taste the Difference crisps - rrp £1.07 actual 80p
Blossom Hill Winemaker's special wine (Home Bargains) rrp £8.99 actual £3.99
Clipper organic and fairtrade breakfast tea - rrp and actual 0.99
Sainsburys Taste the Difference quadruple chocolate slow baked cookies rrp £1.19 on offer 2 for £2
Divine Fairtrade chocolate bar (100g) - rrp and actual £1.00
Bonne maman strawberry conserve rrp £1.89 on offer 2 for £3
Home bargains Percol Fairtrade and organic coffee sachets (enough per sachet for a cafetiere) rrp £0.99 actual £0.39 (I bought 4 of these)
Home bargains Twinings luxury hot chocolate tin rrp £2.99 actual £1.99

    RRP (approximately) £22.14
    actual £12.87

    Hamper 2
Bonne maman strawberry conserve rrp £1.89 on offer 2 for £3
Sainsburys Taste the Difference crisps - rrp £1.07 actual 80p
Divine Fairtrade chocolate bar (100g) - rrp and actual £1.00
Sainsburys Taste the Difference quadruple chocolate slow baked cookies rrp £1.19 on offer 2 for £2
Douwe Egberts coffee for caferiere (Home Bargains) rrp £2.59 actual £0.99
Carrs Nibbles cheese biscuits (Sainsburys on offer £1.50 for 2) rrp £2.78 for 2 actual £1.50
Black bomber cheese - actual and rrp £2.99 (farm shop)
family calender - rrp £7 actual £3.50 (buy one get one free)
Boater's cups and saucers (recycled) previously in a gift box - £9 (approx)
    Basket £2 (approx)

    rrp £31.24
    actual £15.28

    Any comments welcomed :)

Question , how do you wrap them so they look neat but you can have ribbon tied on the middle of the present on the top , i can not describe it , but as you can see in my photos (i hope_) they are not wrapped like everyone elses baskets?

    Thanks in advanced!
