Just thought I would check ;) thought you were somewhere close. I got my last lot of cello from there, but then this set I have now was £13 delivered from ebay for 100 metres, cheaper than the £17 from Daintys ;)

Wow that is better! I bought a load last year and still have enough left for this year - ebay is great for quite a bit of stuff and concidering Dainty is a kind of cash and carry the prices are sometimes over what they are elsewhere. Have you tried the sweet shop around the back - im wondering how the prices hold up there for the stockings and jars im making up :)

I went up there just over a week ago with Bunbun off the cardmaking thread (I am from blyth and she from Durham but we try to meet up as often as life allows!) I have to admit Dainty appears to have put their prices up and they are no (I thought) very expensive!! .... I didn't go in the sweet shop this time, but went in there last year as they had lots of goodies for christmas at a reasonable price ;) ... next door is Imag e nation which has card making and craft goodies ;) I went the first time last week and was quite impressed ;)

i saw in ladsmad's post that you used old avon books instead of tissue paper just wondering did you use a shredder? i was thinking of using my old brochures and argos catalogue rather than buying tissue paper would this be ok to do does anyone know dont want to come accross as cheap but dont want to pay out for tissue paper which will end up in the bin if i can shred paper?

    hi
sorry not been here for a while. Yes i did use a shredder,on the books.I have also started to keep, the old argos catalogue, the free mags from adsa, oddd bits of wrapping paper and also the old magazines. I just put one sheet of wrapping paper over the top, to neaten it up.

  • Ooh, I might make a ginger hamper for my Nan! She loves ginger and loved her pamper hamper last year. I'm thinking-

    -Ginger Options (thanks, thevicster)
-Ginger in syrup (in a jar)
    -Chocolate ginger
    -Home-made ginger biscuits

I think I'm getting into the hamper mentality again! We need some more finished ones to look at on here so I'll try and make a start and post some pics!
