Only thing is I was after some other ideas for things to put in it - thing is my stepbro is very 'designer' led iykwim and he's just bought a very trendy penthouse apartment so want to kind of do a hamper that reflects that but doesn't cost me a fortune - anyone got any ideas?!!! pleease?

    TIA

Hi! My brother is a little like that, what is it they say, champagne lifestyle, lemondade budget! I made him a hamper for Christmas which was a cooking one and I picked up an awful lot from Home Bargains, they have a lot of silicone bakeware, teatowels, frames, cleaning stuff, teabags etc, they are often branded things as well, worth a look

Well, not so much 'hampers' but I've just filled a box of 'bits' for Easter for my son, his girlfriend and baby grandson
Son is having hand -turned wooden egg cup with wooden egg inside (lovely wood grain patterns on the wood - (no cost as it was given me years ago)
Girlfriend - Egg shaped bath bombs - £1 (unwanted gift from charity shop
Baby grandson - brown bunny (50p from charity shop) with choc.buttons attached and little plastic egg box I found this morning in charity shop -£1 -it's got smiley faced eggs in it and shapes on the bottom of them so they have to fit in the right space.

    Other son and girlfriend
Son - hand turned wooden egg cup and wooden egg inside (same as his brother) - no cost as I had it given me
Girlfriend - pink bunny with three little soaps -ones got a lamb on it, one a chicken and the other a bunny -bunny was 50p and soaps 50p -unwanted pressies from charity shop

Think postage will be more then the pressies cost............lol

Teenage grandchildren are having money - didn't have time to 'create' or get anything else for them and they'll be well happy with the cash anyway.

Oh crikes - nearly forgot hamper for my friends birthday - not done it all yet but here's whats in it:
'Who do you think you are' book for her family tree -£1 -charity shop
    William Morris patterned index folder......................£1.........."
    Assorted soaps/bath stuff.......................approx £1.00 "
Gardeners set -hand cream, mini nail brush etc.........£1.00....."
    Stationary set........................................................50p .."
    Photo Album (Victorian style)................................£1.50p...."
    Ornamental fruit -oranges.........................................50p...."
Vanilla scented Candle -tall oblong one....................£1.00....."

    £7.50 total

No theme - we never do for each other -its always a general mish mash of stuff...................lol It's all stuff she likes, price is right and we always stick to charity shop finds............sort of agreement we have and its amazing what you can find.

Not doing too well with this hamper so far only got some tea towels!! Went to Ikea but my OH was a bit 'he won't like that' to everything I picked up so ended up leaving everything!! Bit stumped now!

Hope she likes it! Goodness knows when she's going to have time to do any gardening as she's just been adopted by a cat who had 3 kittens a fortnight ago and she's keeping them all! Maybe some cat food might have been a better gift...:rotfl:

Thanks. The bag was more than I would usually spend on that kind of thing, but she's really into her eco bags, so I know she'll use it. And she's she's been a fab friend to me...letting me visit the kittens often. :j

    Hi all

Is anyone doing a movie hamper for a male? If so in Peacocks yesterday I bought 2 t shirts which were both black, one had The Godfather on the front (pic from the film and words) and the other one was from Rocky and had Mr T and some saying from the film. They were £8 each and they had them in s,m,l, and xl

    Hope it helps someone
