chardonnay wrote: »rainmac- could it be your inlaws are showing off the hamper! unless they haven't even unwrapped the cellophane? we made hampers for both mums and my sis, who all appeared to love them. i was surprised when i visited mil to see the hamper intact in the bathroom (pamper hamper) but i suppose it's where she will use it, plus she can show it off to visitors.
Ooohhh, your post made me feel better, thanks chardonnaybut honestly they never seem impressed by anything I do - I take one of their 3 sons off their hands, give them 2 beautiful grandchildren and we never ask for help (unlike the other 2 sons  ) - what does a girl have to do to get a bit of respect and love from her inlaws

my theory with in laws is they actually don't like you taking their sons away!!;)
i know of mother in laws who still think that they should be the most important person in their son's life despite the fact that they have left home many years before, have moved right away from where they live, has got married and had several children!!
Also I think as a daughter in law we often feel that whatever we do is not good enough!!;)0 -

Think you've hit the hail on the head furrypig, I do always feel what I do isn't good enough for them.

has anyone seen any pink baskets or a similar type of box container thingy anywhere? I've got all the bits for one for my friends birthday but can't find anything pink to put it in.
I've used these before as hampers and they went down really well. They are quite often half price, which is when I got mine.
