Ooh, it is so close I can almost smell it (to be fair I have the lovely smell of a Christmas candle in the kitchen at home) and I am doing final touches and trying to resist adding any more bits to the hampers I have. I have finished all but my Dad's now as I have to finish his mini mapbook (reasons to be cheerful) and then find another 110 facts for his fact jars, eek. The problem I had is that apparently a lot of the well known ones aren't actually true so I am struggling with finding real onesGod is good, all the time

Just about had enough cello to wrap around some ferrero rocher that I've put in a bit cup with chocolate written all over it..........thats for next door neighbour for always being there for us.
Done the loo rolls now as well...........put a sort of face on each one.....well, couple of eyes and some red lips............lolMary

Mary, sounds like you are getting on well, I love that you are doing gifts for ex-foster children, it says a lot about you that you were not just in it for a short time but for the long haul with them
I thought I was all done but my grandma asked me to think of something for my Dad and I had to grab some Frankie and Benny gift vouchers and a cinema gift card for her. It looked a bit small so I got a bag of popcorn from Tesco with 2 bags of sweets and 2 mini bottles of wine and put it into a covered shoe box, what can I say, I am addicted to the hamper making, even when it isn't my gift!God is good, all the time

Well I gave otu my first lot of baskets yesterday, my brother came and picked up the lot forhis family as I wont see them before Christmas and we took my Son's family's round last night. My Grandson was over the moon with his cooking set, they are a bit worried that it wont all fit in their cupboards as I did buy a lot for it but they are looking forward to having a go after Christmas. The other thing that went down really well was the sock monkey, only trouble was one of his eyes fell off before we came home so they will have to do a repair job on him already. They were googly eyes which I stuck on with Super Glue.
The next lot of presents go with us today as we are going to my daughters for an early Christmas dinner.0 -
I love sock monkeys! The one I made for my friend went down so well I am considering making more. Definitely one to add to all your to-do lists ladies and gentsGod is good, all the time
