Anyone else manage to 'lose' things around now ? Yesterday I couldn't find the christmas card holders............this morning I found them but as for the christmas cellophane - well, seems to have done a vanishing act so OH is having to get me some more !!
Bet your life then I'll find it.....................:rotfl:

If I 'lost' our double wardrobe it wouldn't surprise me Mary :D It seems as if every time I need something specific, that's the thing that's 'lost' :rotfl: It's uncanny lol, but I recently found 2 x necklaces I bought at least 3 years ago  :rotfl:

In a mad panic at the moment as still haven't bought the 'big' presents :o but I figured that most full-time workers will be shopping today, so I'll try and find the wardrobe ;) and shop tomorrow :) Fingers crossed I'll be in luck  ;)

Haven't posted for a while (can't seem to stay logged on anywhere some days), so a quick thanks to: thevicster, vickygriff, Rusty, kr15snw, got-it-spend-it, mary43, Sian, TLP, JordanShannon, savingholmes, bunbun2, Shelley3774 for posting virtual or real pictures ;) and hope I haven't forgotten anyone, and a big thanks also for everyone's ideas :)

Now where did I put those cellophane bags again? :rotfl:

Hiya - wonder if you ladies can help me - for my nephews (age 5 and 3) I am doing pirate themed hampers and would really like to use something that looks like pirates treasure chests as their hamper(s) - I've looked on ebay but nothing much doing and the ones that are on there seem to be mainly small (just for putting party favours in!) - can anyone advise if they've seen anything suitable? thanks in advance...

Hi I know you posted this a while back, but was in Wilkinsons the other day and they had a section of pirate stuff for party bags. Can't remember exactly but there were bubbles and small things like that.

Prob bit late, but they just came into my head.

The OH and I sat last night making 2 no-sew blankets for the boys Xmas Eve basket, the one he made looks much better than mine. Maybe I should enlist his help with projects for Xmas 2009 ;)

Ooh I may have figured this out while I was waiting for the page to load lol
but how do you make these? I was after something similar for my niece's movie night hamper - was eyeing up the fleecy blankies in Woolies but they sold out :( and haven't seen any more at the price I want to pay and the right colour :o

Am guessing its glueing the edges instead of hemming? I can get the fabric from the remnant shop (just something else to squeeze in to err 3 and a bit days:eek: )

Been making snowman soup/flannel cupcakes and homemade chocolate slabs all morning - OH thinks I have lost the plot (I never knew the plot in the first place :rotfl: )

Still haven't made my mince pies nor the dundee cake, plus got to make a chocolate roulade for xmas eve... time flies!!
  • Here are my finished baskets, they have cost less than £15 each including the baskets, and I've had so much fun putting them together!!

  • Hi, I am so annoyed that I had already wrapped the majority of my gifts for Christmas 2008 at the end of Nov/beginning of December as it would have been the perfect solution to pop everything into a hamper but instead I have had to sit and wrap 20 + presents (per close family member). Nevermind at least I now have the inspriration to create and prepare pampers for everyone next year! However, after having wrapped all my gifts I looked at my dad's pile of presents and there weren't so many and so last minute I have thought about making him one.

I figured that he loves beer and curry and couldn't think of too much else so thought I would do him a "A night in ... bringing the pub to you" mini hamper. Went to Mr T's today and bought him 2 x Kopparberg Cider Bottles, 4 x Kronenbourg cans, some Pork Scratchings with an Apple Dip, a pack of Dry Roasted Peanuts, bottle of red wine and a Fray Bentos tinned chicken curry pie! I am really pleased with it but really trying to locate something to fit it all in now! Talk about last minute. I really want to do my OH one now but have already overspent on him this Christmas! Maybe Valentines! Thanks for all your ideas and inspiration!
