I confess.......I still think he's quite dishy. Shift a stone, little bit of sport and he could become a model for M + S.
They are thinking of slashing the celeb ad budget.
He could gazunder Bryan Ferrys ad rates.
I always say that a well stuffed wallet is the greatest aphrodisiac..dont you agree?
If he wasn;t an apparently well wadded property "guru" would he be quite so attractive?
Personally i have a thing for Sarah Beeny. She has a certain something...a bit like Felicity Kendal. Immediately sexy and attractive but for some reason you cant quite put your finger on.0 -
I must miss a lot of this argy bargy...but what is the problem here? Why do you think I have a problem with house prices, is it because I don't agree that they are going to fall 70% or is it because I am unimpressed with the !!!!!! post of one man and his dog having to close down? What was it described as HIS EMPIRE.
The whole point is debate and chat. Different views add to that.
This forum would be deadly if it is was all ''yes, I agree'' all the time.
Some posters on here post from an academic standpoint and others from experience......but the whole blend helps people to form a view for themselves.
I personally, like the fact that there are opposing views and people take the time to post them down.
The only thing I would say, posting from life experience, is that no-one knows what IS going to happen. The events of the past year were speculated upon a year or more ago...but events are still different to how some thought they would pan out.
BTW How do you know !!!!!! has a dog? He never mentioned it before.....'When my dog and I can afford a house.....''';)
I find most posts, incl yours, interesting in some way.0 -
Now I know you aren't my OH , he can only just about do an e-mail (and he's happily watching some escapist, mind numbing tosh on a DVD at the moment) but he adores Sarah Beeney.I always say that a well stuffed wallet is the greatest aphrodisiac..dont you agree?

Thinks shes absolutely gorgeous
Something to do with her willingness to use power tools.
Thinking of Phil....I have never seen him pictured in OK with a glossy, shiny wife...perhaps the old flirty banter wasn't quite genuine?0 -

Hi Stevie. I have been away reading the thread from the man in a house he bought to do up and is stuck now with a 6 x mortgage he can't afford.
I do think you have a problem with prices dropping, just from the tone and content of your posts, it doesn't please you does it, admit it. As for 70% drops, you can agree or disagree, but I am only monitering my small area and unless someone waves a magic wand, they WILL fall 70%. There are 50% drops already on some properties and this STILL makes them 100% more expensive than they were 6 years ago. And guess what...they are not being 'snapped up' by btl'ers because they are still falling and the market is flooded with rental properties the owners can't sell. So it's all good news.
I hate generalisation, so when you say prices won't do this or that as a blanket statement, yes it does annoy me. And I enjoy links posted to news stories or rightmove houses because this informs me....why did it upset you so much ?. You should keep an open mind. Anyway as Fc says it's good to hear all sides.
Fc...I really laughed...He doesn't know !!!!!! has a dog...you were joking right. :rotfl: A xDon't believe everything you think.
Blessed are the cracked...for they are the ones who let in the light. A x0 -
personally, if my OH started dribbling over a minor celeb and let me know it I'd tell her to leave and take her chances. Now I know you aren't my OH , he can only just about do an e-mail (and he's happily watching some escapist, mind numbing tosh on a DVD at the moment) but he adores Sarah Beeney.

your OH should be happy with what he's got.
I've just got in from the pub (just made last orders after a hard day).
now here's a thing: a 'last orders' chap (retired professional and sometime acquaintance) mentioned house prices, which kicked off a discussion. he told how his ex was approached by the makers of LLL, asking her to pose as a 'holiday home' buyer. on offer: a week in sun destination, all exes paid, if she agreed to give up 1 day to 'view' properties.
she agreed, and enjoyed a 6 day break.
he's annoyed on 2 counts:
a) their split occurred only 3 weeks before the offer of a free break came through, so a chance of a freebie gone,
b)the fact that LLL is presented as a 'factual' programme, and disgusted by the manipulation.
krusty herself has admitted that the prog isn't reality in the sense that most people would recognise.
so we can rest assured that the concept of LLL is based on fiction and nothing else. (as if we were unsure).
except that plenty of viewers actually fell for this garbage and some bought.
I hope that the gradual demise of phil's empire isn't 'fictional'. I really do.miladdo0 -

"So, Debbie, what first attracted you to the millionaire Paul Daniels?"...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

The north west operation of the property search company will continue though, being run on a freelance basis by Phil Martin from his base in Altrincham.
Good one PN, I was going to suggest it might be his mum's back bedroom!0 -
