I quite like Knutsford... the olde-style run of shops in the town, and Tatton Park... but I'm hearing a few stories of businesses closing there recently, although can't fully confirm if entirely true.

Knutsford has had a poor range of shops for 10 years or so. There's no where selling electrical appliances, CDs, DVDs or average priced men's clothing or shoes. But the recession has resulted in more shops closing in Northwich and Altrincham than Knutsford.

Phil Madoff has squirrelled a few shillings away from the gaze of the administrators no doubt.

I am sure I have heard Phil's voice doing adverts recently. Not house related, something like cereal. Still, that probably pays a few grand a time and will keep him busy until the market picks up.....
