...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.

I remember Vesta curries. They were fab when they first came out. I preferred the chicken one to the beef one. I never had the paella though.

FC123 - what curry are you making? They sure do have 101 bit of this, bit of that in them don't they! Pain in the bum trying to get all the ingredients together.

If your OH has a bit of Johnny Depp about him, now you're talking! I do like a pretty boy. And so far everybody's listed some right mingers as being good looking.... I couldn't believe what bad taste has been expressed on this thread!
The recipe book is ''Best ever Indian Cookbook'' (I know....bad title...who thinks up these titles anyway?....some grad on 50k pa no doubt) by (OMG this is going to challenge the typing skills)......by........

Mridula Balijekar, Raji Fernsndez, Shehzad Husain, Manish Kanani.

    I cook Page no 129 + bhajis + p374. I just use veg.
All the diff Spices cost around £8-£10 total but last for months...but you can't buy them in oligopoly supermarket......they rip you off.
We have an Asian place locally....so bags of spices dead cheap. I decant into clean jam jars (OMG again, I am confessing I own no matching spice jars...hope pickled pink isn't around....oh... but I own a whole house...just in case).

Doesn't really taste like an Indian from a standard curry house though....more subtle.

My OH is dead nice bloke too....that's why I married him. Not a spiteful bone in his body....and he lives by that old fashioned mantra....''If wife is happy, then my life is happy too''....so he has lots of angst about me being content and happy. His 'duty' to his wife.
A bit working class (if I dare go down that road of thought...bring on the class war) ideology.

    But why not?
It's what works in our household.:D

    Is that the OH?

Johnny Depp is coming to live near me :) And I touched hands with Martin Shaw in my local Waitrose a couple of weeks ago - we both went for the same pot plant :) I dont know what he is doing at mo but his hair was grey and he had a beard. Gorgeous though. Ive also rubbed up against him when he has had his bike leathers on in our little card shop (dirty old lady arent I?)

Nope, honest. He is buying a place which belongs to a fashion designer who lives round here. Better not reveal too much :) (Oh, lots of posh houses in this area - obviously not in my street - but all around)
