The house price crash comes home to roost for Phil Spencer

http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/s/1077841_tv_guru_closes_office
EVEN Channel 4 property gurus are not immune to the current harsh market.

Less than 12 months after its glitzy launch Phil Spencer has been forced to close the Knutsford office of his Garrington empire making one member of staff redundant.

Oh dear.

This reeks of severe desperation, are you running out of articles to publish?

I always thought that a 'property search' business is like setting up a building sand business in Saudi Arabia.

I mean come on...... here you go Phil, there is 5k because I cant be @rsed to open my laptop and look on Rightmove.

Get a proper job Phil, you and that tart in the dodgy clothes.

"The north west operation of the property search company will continue though, being run on a freelance basis by Phil Martin from his base in Altrincham."

So it's now one bloke, working on commission only from home. Probably has to stop working when his mum wants to lay the table for tea too.

I always think the :rotfl: smilie is more effective if only used once at the most in a post, people who use it more remind me of someone in the pub who laughs for far too long at a joke, looking rather sad.:D

You didn't post an irrelevant link.

I was interested to read your link. It was good and relevant. It's part of the fabric of information that makes up this wonderful corner of the Internet.

I thank you for your link.

    Keep linking!

    are you serious!

this is one of the best indicators of "house prices" as a movement and its demise.

He was the epitomy of it all! !"Quick get in there quick" - pay anything for your "dream home" "sometimes it about more than money" and all the other claptrap!
I mean come on...... here you go Phil, there is 5k because I cant be @rsed to open my laptop and look on Rightmove.
could not have put it better. Maybe this is waht the papers mean when they talk about the demise of the "service economy" ;
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
