Imagine if these "rip off" posters went to the states and went shopping where they seldom show the price of the tax on the item, so its adds on at the till.

The reason this isnt a rip off is because of choice, you dont have to fly with ryanair you dont have to pay the £8 etc etc.

Anyway i call troll on this post, ooh and for the record i'll have 3 dubloons on there being 3 ryanair ripoff posts next week.

    all the best

  • To be fair a £32 charge for using a debit card is an unreasonable charge ,( how many people here rant at banks for their charges ) ok the flight is still very cheap , but really arent Ryanair just disguising the cost of the flight by building in extra costs ? because its in it terms and conditions doesnt stop it from being slightly dodgy in my books ( I dont like the term rip off ).

Whoever mentioned about using the search button , if everyone did that there would be no new threads lol , after all surely almost everything on this site has been asked before

Not about five times a week!
  • This is really getting beyond a joke now.

Even if I sort of agree the high debit and credit card charges are very much on the high side, you are well aware of this before you press the confirm button.

Its not law to fly with Ryanair, its not compulsory, if I disagree with the displayed prices in Asda, I shop elsewhere, or I don't shop at all, simple as that.

And for the record, I have flown with Ryanair over 140 times, 41 times this year, and have had 1 delay and no other problems. I get cheap flights and use my electron card.

I have just paid for my mum, dad and eight of their friends to fly to Belfast, and fly back again. They had a great day, no problems, no delays. Total cost including their hand luggage, booking fee etc - 20p (YES, TWENTY PENCE). It cost one of them 400 times more for the bus fare to/from the airport, than the return flight cost. (A 10 minute bus ride)! Now that is value.

I don't buy a coffee onboard my ryanair flights, cos I think the price is a rip off, I don't buy a coffee then moan to all and sundry about the price.

Come on Ryanair moaners, use your common sense.

Contradiction in terms there, I think.

Not really. I am not moaning about Ryanair, I am moaning about people moaning about Ryanair. Slight difference, but I get your point
  • I see the ryanair attack dogs are at it again - just can't help yourselves, can you? (or anyone else, for that matter).

assuming the OP isn't trolling, this:

all budget airlines make a card charge, to varying degrees.

aerarann, a smaller operator, makes an identical charge.

impossible for the airlines to justify, given that the trancsaction costs are @ 30p.

until gov. steps in it's a case of caveat emptor, regardless of the unfairness.

    mind how you go..

    Deary me.

The issue here is the fact it costs £8 to pay by card. It is not a tax, it is not the cost of the seat it is an additional charge. Whether i agree with or or whether you do is irrelevant. Whether it is pre advised or otherwise is irrelevant.

    It is a rip off.

Phatbear your comparison to the US tax system is nothing like this i know you know that.

The reason it is a rip off is because Ryanair is charging a stupidly high price to pay. Knowing that to get the cheap flight people will pay it.
