I thought that Wii was country-specific? The formatting of the games (PAL) is different than in the US (NTSC). Or is there a way to unlock a Wii?

Uk, Europe, Australia are all PAL. Japan and US are NTSC - although Japan sometimes has it's own unique format for some things.

I got my Wii last year from a German seller on fleabay. It arrived within 3 days, and only paid £165 for it, with 2 year warranty.

Same here. We got our Wii from the german amazon site about two months after its release, think it worked out at £170. We've had no problems at all.

I take it if you had a Japanese or US version you wouldn't be able to play PAL games on it?

Does anyone know of any good deals on mobile phones and wii's?

got a deal I'm happy with in zavvi this morning - intore only not online but its the 60gb xbox 360 with 2 games from a selection (I picked halo 3 and tom clancy rainbox 6) for £170 .

I had no problems getting the PS3 deal from argos in store in Lincoln. When i checked if the items were in stock whilst writing the numbers down in the store, each item showed up as having over 50 each! This was on sunday. Sorry you're not having much luck.
