xbox availability updates - please post stock availability here

just been into Tesco's in Aberdeen and bagged their last premium pack - I have already got the core unit but wanted the HDD - now I am going to sell the core one hopefully without the missus finding out!!

Yes and it's very impressive. The PSU is like any other, just external. Makes replacing it much easier, and the main unit smaller. It's not an noisier than any other console (PS2, Xbox). And the overheating is questionable. Either way it's why it is usually best to wait for v1.1 for all the bugs to be ironed out.

Amazes me what people expect, yes I have seen the unit. All new consoles are basically PC's so there are going to emit a little noise. And overheating is only an issue if you position it with minimal venting.

Please let me know what they say.

All of the contact I have had with Argos has been initiated by me, and they've had no sensible answers. Wouldn't be so annoyed if they'd at least had the decency to e-mail me to explain the console was out of stock and not going to arrive.

I have written to their Head Office and will contact Watchdog as they are contravening their own terms and conditions by charging for items before checking stock is available.

Was thinking of getting an Xbox but havnt heard much from people who have them, so what are they like then? Worth getting?

Picked one up 23rd December and can say they are worth the money apart from the games which retail around £45 - £50 in the shops but I am going to use https://www.play.com who sell them at £39.99. If there is only 1 game you get with it I would reccomend call of duty 2 as it is amazing and has kept me playing until 3am on a couple of occassions, the graphics are amazing and connecting it to a Hi Def TV shows off etra detail like when dirt goes everywhere it looks very realistic

Im holding out for a premium, looks like I'll either get lucky one day with Argos or wait until the end of Jan and hope places are stocking.
