Re: Argos.. Interestingly, BBC Watchdog have an article on their website about the fact Argos take the money first and then often fail to deliver.

How many thousands of people have ordered these in the past few weeks, had their cards debited and now must wait while Argos bank the money? It will make them a sizeable sum, and there appears to be no way of getting a straight answer - just a call centre who try to persuade people to cancel the order.

I made a big point when calling Argos, 3 times to check if they actually had any and all times, they have cores but not premiums, so give benefit of the doubt, if it doesnt arrived on 4th or 5th then I will let rip.

Would you believe it, I went into Tesco's today to get something.The item I wanted wasn't on the shelf so I asked at the electrical counter and she said she had had some delivered that day and hadn't had a chance to restock the shelves.I said jokingly I don't suppose you have any Xbox 360's in yet,expecting her to say no,but she said she had seen 2 in some secure room but wouldn't be able to get access to them until 8am tomorrow.I asked if she could find out if they were the premium or core versions and after a phone call to security,an officer brought a box down,opened it and inside were 2 premium editions.You should of seen her face when I said I will have them both,lol.
So just to let you know KEEP asking if you go into a Tesco or Asda store as they keep getting surprise deliveries and only sell them to people who ask at the electrical counter.

i got a premium here that i bought 4 £300 and i have only played it once it looks like ebay or something is going to get this 1 ?? not what i thought it would be lol

Mine was going to be a premium. Cores are a lot easier to get hold of I think. (I could have bought one in Game last week in Brighton but didn't because of the Argos order).

I figured just a memory card would be ok for now, and get a HD later when they become available.

Not surprised really. Before xmas I was expecting two units delivered on the Monday. When only 1 arrived I was told the other would come on Wed. CAlled them twice on the day to confirm Wed delivery and was assured was out for delivery. Never did turn up. Got my refund in the end. Poor service from Argos Direct I think.
