xbox availability updates - please post stock availability here

The 480 apparantly is the next gen console from microsoft.According to amazon that if you pre-ordered the 360 and still have not recieved it before 2007 they will put your name on the waiting list for a 480 but no guarantee of delivery before 2015.Argos will probably have them in much sooner though.If the time comes when i will father a child i will make sure its name will be "Argos" in honour of the company which has obtained me the fabalous 360.God bless Argos!

Can't say I'm that impressed with ARGOS. Just been on the phone with them re delivery today. Surprise, surprise after confirming my order and a telephone call saying everything was on schedule for today. No xbox. Apparently there was an error on the site when they were accepting orders without any stock.

Nice gentleman also stated that those who ordered today would be highly unlikely to recieve one either. They havent any in stock and don't know when they will have.

Told me i was better off taking a refund than waiting for one to come in stock.

That's pathetic. Similar answer to me. How then can they be promising people who've ordered one today that it will arrive on Tuesday? (see post above).

Out of interest, when did you order? My confirmation e-mail came through on 29th at 2.53pm.

Confirmatory email on the 23/12/05. Telephoned them on Tuesday when they said everything was ok. Took the day off of work today.

Me too. Great scheme this. Promise something you can't deliver - rake in a fortune - collect the interest on it, then pay back the original amount. They told me THREE times that I had one (kept phoning as I was very sceptical).

I just called them, they have Core Systems in stock. So I have ordered a Core System with a Controller and Memory Card, should be here on the 4th or 5th Fingers Crossed.

I think it's mad the whole xbox 360 farse as some people that have pre-ordered the system months ago have still not received a console and it works out better just checking around stores as small deliveries are coming into stores daily and I managed to pick one up 23rd December. I think it's partly hype by Microsoft saying that they cannot keep up with demand for the system even though people that have not ordered a system in advance have been stuffed and people like myself and others could just go into a shop and pick one up, it does not seem right.

Currys in Liverpool keep getting a couple of cores in but are awaiting premiums sometime in Jan 2006
