thanks
If booking luggage you will also incur/lose a charge of £24 per person return for case and booking fee. As opposed to no baggage/web book in.
(Although as said by Edinburghlass. Still no cancellation charge just dont cancel).

Its really not worth the hassle or the money.
Who goes away with no check in luggage?
Who really wants to pay £16.00 just to use the Maestro Card?
(Maestro.. 'the new cash'.. so Mastercard tells us)
I just looked at Liverpool to Budapest T1, which the website clearly advertised that the flight was 0.00 GBP and ALL taxes & charges were included, after clicking a few bullet points, making everything Zero, the confirmation page pops up claiming that the tax and charges are actually £15.00 per person + 2 pence for the flight costs, it then adds a further £16.00 just for using a Maestro card, which as i've said before falsely advertises as 'the new cash'
0.43 pence to process a card transaction.. £16.00 Ryanair are trying to charge.. no matter how much money they advertise that people may save, its very clear the figures don't add up & in reality there is no saving at all.
Nearly all of Ryanair's european airports are actually a minimum of 20-30 miles from the actual city they advertise as being, For people that do not drive or have the ability to get a hire car, its a nightmare!.
Dusseldorf Weeze airport is 30 miles from Dusseldorf, buses take over an hour to the nearest train station which then takes another 2 hours to get from the train station to Dusseldorf centre. I flew once on this route, and never again, i'd rather pay that bit extra to not have to mess around and then pay the extra cost to get where i wanted to be in the first place.***Signature removed by Forum Team***0 -

When were debit card charges increased and made the same as by credit card?
I was about to post that it's cheaper to pay by debit card. And was sure I only paid half the current price for two of us, return in Aug of this year. (Looks like I will have check if am wrong).
Just double checked Ryanair site, and yep sure enough c.c & d.d charges the same at £4 each person and each way.
When added to the £48 for two return luggage and booking fees (doesn't seem long ago since increased).
It's now another £64 for two to take into account added to a 'normal' or non discounted flight.
(Easy jet is catching up at £30 baggage (20Kg each), but not checked direct debit card charges. Bovver used to have an Electron card years ago!).
Error, sorry. Is still half the cost at £24 return for two. (£6 pp each way).

i was looking at liverpool-budapest flights.... the way out it says "special fare" but taxes/fees are 15 quid.... on days where it's "regular fare" the taxes/fees are 30 each way...which i don't get
i have since found dates that are literally free....but was just a bit confused by that0 -

Who goes away with no check in luggage?
I'll think you'll find there's a lot of people who go away with no check in luggage if they're just going for a couple of days or so. These flights are for flexible people who are discovering the world at a fraction of the cost it would normally be. They are not for your average family holiday, although I bet some people have done just that.
My mum and I have been to Milan, Paris and Valencia this year, with a day trip to Dublin thrown in and yes, you have to pay to use your debit/credit card (have applied for electron); you have to be selective about what you pack, and it is normally a bit of a trip from the airport to your destination - but it's still cost a great deal less than it would have done any other way, and in fact if it wasn't for Ryanair we wouldn't have gone to any of those places and had all the great memories.
I can only speak from personal experience, and I know it's not everyone's, but every flight has been on time and we have had no problems whatsoever. In the meantime I have taken holiday with my hubby with BA, Thomas Cook and AA and have been delayed and messed about everytime.
I just wish people would stop rubbishing Ryanair, there are so many people who are seeing much more of the world because of the cheap flights they are providing and enjoying their leisuretime/retirement etc., but if it doesn't fit your criteria, then just book elsewhere and stop moaning about them and leave the flights for the people who appreciate the opportunity.0 -

.
Have now taken a look at Easyjet for just for comparison. Guess debit card still seems cheaper than credit card. At the moment!

.Hey O, Listen What I Say O.0 -
Just managed to book four flights from Bristol to Dublin, at relatively decent times, for a mere 8p - for all 4!!!!
I think the problem some of you are having is down to many places being outside the United Kingdom.
Having grabbed my bargain, I thought I'd send my parents to Rome in Feb as a Christmas present - and found that everywhere I tried simply wasn't as cheap.
Anybody else having any luck?
