  • Aww thanks bob, I have a feeling I will be getting more today :o

    ~~~~~~~~~
    So I have just been payed and its much much more than I thought. I dont know if they have payed me wrong of it thats because I worked long shifts in the first few weeks of december ie not part time. Anyways I will check tommorow :D So here is my Soa for January, any ideas on how to split the remainder? I have to get mum a birthday gift or give her money. I was going to give her £30 out of my me money but obviously that would only leave me £10. Shall I use the remainder for that?
    Income ~ £665.49
    £120.00 ~ rent ~ reduced due to mums half of the payment for holiday
    £35.00 ~ internet ~ this is approx but my internet is £21 a month and the line is £12 a month
    £13.00 ~ house ins
    £21.00 ~ bus ticket ~ can be saved/brought at the end of the month as I still have a full ticket here and plan to walk home from work as much as possible
    £10.00 ~ WLR
    £8.00 ~ SU club ~ reduced for just january (an a little bit more too)
    £40.00 ~ ‘me’ money
    £106.00 ~ holiday ~ my portion of this is £51, I was planning to spend £40 this month booking the sun holiday anyway and this is more days ~ needs to be booked before the end of january to secure this price
    £10.00 ~ holiday pig ~ to replace me nabbing some for medication
    £75.00 ~ locked saver ~ Increased due to the size of wage I got
    £438.00
    Leaves £227.49 :eek:
    Maybe it's due to overtime - they usually pay that in arrears. Fab to have that much left over though.
    I'd save two thirds and have a third to spend, personally :)
  • I may have missed something somewhere PAP, but is it worth having a look around for a cheaper internet provider? If you already have then sorry but i pay a lot less on that for mine it is just a thought.
  • Gem and beanie ~ Thanks still thinking on it.
    Bob ~ I havent looked for a cheaper as I am locked in a contract. Plus when I had to set it back up again it was easier to go with my old supplier than finding a mac code etc etc. I know its lazy :o Sorry
  • Ok so I slept on it and decided :D
    I have £227.49 left. I have spent £28.03 on a 'different' craft, I have been wanting to try this for months but havent had the money really and seeing as I put my birthday money from work in my savings this kinda covers it. This leaves £199.46. So my plain is to place £150.00 into an empty web saver to cover my holiday spends. that then leaves £49.46 so £9.46 into £500 saves (as I hate odd numbers in my current account) that then leaves £40 as a little net. I have then taken all the notes out of my holiday pig £35.00, £30 for mums birthday money and £5 to buy her a gift :D I will still count the coins in my pig as holiday money as I will take the coins with me as we will need parking change etc etc :D
    Does that sound ok? Oh and I still have £38 I think out of my me money :)
    Well I am just about to do the transfers :j Oh I will get better soon, just takes time. Oh needle felting, just stabbing unspun wool to make things :rotfl:looks really theraputic. I got a good deal on ebay a stater kit with 200g of wool and then 500g of wool more and an extra needle holder for £28.03 inc postage. Now I did look online and nowhere was near that cheap and hobby craft charge £5 for 50g of wool. Cant wait for it to arrive now :rotfl:
    Morning Pap,
    Hope you feel better today. I'm off work with an eye infection, I had to spend 1.5 hours in casualty yesterday. They think it's just an eye infection from a new mascara I used.
    Spent over £18 this week on prescriptions and ointments, :eek: , plus no pay for taking time off work today, but it's really sore and docs say to rest it a bit.
    You are doing well with your money, wish I could say the same for me. :rotfl:
    xx
