  • Might not be joining you all tomorrow, seeing my friend then got OHs parents round for dinner  litrally got 30 mins to myself, so might just give the bathroom a quick wipe over. It does need it, especially if the 'in-laws' are down!
Her mum is terrified of dogs, so it will be fun introducing her to my dobi! As soon as they leave we are heading to the Hoe to watch the fireworks. :)

    Have a good one all.

Valli I was thinking about you earlier, and hoping you were ok. I wanted to say, without being mushy.... I love your posts. You always make me laugh. :D

Seconded! And Valli... you can't go off sick just because you've got offsted in you know;) No one's going to believe you're genuinely ill... gargle some of those nice asproclear you got for your DD, they might help.

the toe strapping goes over one toe.. under the next then over the third.. like a hammock thing in the middle for the curly toe. It was just micropore tape.. and I think that might be the problem I am pretty sensitive to it and it makes me feel like it is burning so I wondered if she was the same. I did offer pink sparkly polish.. and red.. and twinkly stars but she was beyond redemption and stopped screaming the second I took it off.. while we were sitting in the pod's office.. I didn't care she was distressed. I think maybe a little bit of bandaging with a bit of linty stuff will be comfier.. I'll do you a pic of the toes and then of the strapping IF she will let me and you can come uo with a genius plan!

Pigpen - I'm allergic to micropore too (why do they always give it to you if you tell them you're allergic to plasters  ), so I can see her point. The bandage idea is a good one. Maybe you can ask her to come up with some ideas as to how to do it, and make it into a bit of a game?

Johanne - big hugs. You know you're free to tell us how you feel, and we'll all be supportive, but its one of those times when only you can work out how you should deal with it. I just hope it works out for you.

Had fun yesterday... left the office at 6ish (early for me!) and went to get petrol... none at the first petrol station... none at the second... nearly none in the tank! So got a lift home with a colleague and left the car at work (couldn't face ending up running out while looking for the stuff, and apparently there was a problem with dirty diesel in W London at the w/e). Got a taxi to the station this morning (HOW much?!) at 7.15 as I was in central london today. One of the girls checked and texted me which petrol station had fuel when she left at 5ish... got the train back to work at 9ish, and as the taxi came off the roundabout by the office, the petrol station there was closing the pumps  . I was brave and drove (on my almost empty tank) to the place I'd been told had fuel and luckily it did have. They hadn't had any problems, but had heard from their customers about the other issues. Got home just after 10, and have been catching up on paperwork and this thread since.

Off to London tomorrow again for another day of seminars :D then back for a governing body training session at school (which will be equally thrilling I'm sure!).

Hope all the sickies are getting better... Sarah - if you don't start behaving we'll be sending Toots down to keep an eye on you. Mudbath - we might have to do the same for you... although it looks like your GP is keeping a very close eye on you!

Try not to talk too much tomorrow... I can hardly keep up ;)
  • Sounds like a real delight Greenbee I hate the thought of running out of petrol!

Anyone else up watching the american results?

I would agree there - horrid stuff - brings me out in wheals in 30 minutes.

I suspect you are in for some experimenting to find something soft enough for such young skin. Will ask my physio when I see him for next strapping session - he's pretty good on ideas.

    Moam

    Excellent.. thanks.. xx

She isn't 4 yet so I think talking about it to her will only make it more scary I am just going to forget about it for the next week or two then see what we can come up with.. bandages are easy.. I can dye them pink!.. and spray with glittery hair spray.. but will she let me do that?? We will see.

Thanks to everyone else.. and hugs especially to Johanne.. I am thinking of you hun and sending big hugs your way.. hope you are ok and I did mean it.. if you need an escape for a few days my door is open (((hugs)))

Pink fairy – We’re probably not allowed to have national pride anymore – it might upset the ethnic/religious minorities

Says who Kaz??? I've never heard anyone from an ethnic or religious minority ever say that I'm not to have pride in my country. I've heard the media tell me that ethnic or religious minorities feel that way.... but I'm not sure I'm prepared to accept the media's impartiality in this.
