CS - bet you've done loads of flying while you've been searching though! You don't suppose it could be in my house do you?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

It could definitely be in my front room :rotfl: :rotfl:

Mind you, so could anything anyone has lost over the last few [STRIKE]days weeks months [/STRIKE]years :o  If any of you would like to come and search for your lost items, that'd be fine by me :D :rotfl: :rotfl:

DD is in London with a friend visiting said friend's Grandma, but doing the "sights" as well. She called me a while ago from Blackfriars saying she was watching the Fireworks, a finale to the Lord Mayor's show (which was great BTW - but only on TV). Then she called me back again in floods of tears, barely able to get her words out, at the sight of 30,000 poppies in the "Field of Remembrance" outside Westminster Abbey. She was also furious that someone had the lack of respect to be protesting against the war in Iraq just yards away.

She is hoping to go to the Remembrance Day parade tomorrow and may be picking up an 87 year old lady that she met on the Megabus last night. She wasn't happy about her either, as the poor old dear was on her way to visit her granddaughter, hates travelloing and had to go for the tube to "wherever" on her own at 8.20 at night! Some people don't deserve grandparents. Mine all died before I was even married and my children have one grandmother left who can't even send birthday cards. Hasn't done for most of their lives so not an age thing. She hardly ever remembers her son and he's one of 7, but married to me and I'm English. She does the same with SIL as she married an English bloke. I wouldn't mind but she's Irish not even Welsh!

Update on the tokens so far!

Well decided to start today and they managed to get through everything!!! DD1 has lost two of them already, so I told her that if she looses them she doesn't get the time until she finds them again, if her room was tidy then she wouldn't loose them ;) So tuba practice was done, homework was mostly done, reading was done, lounge floor was practically done and it was great! Tomorrow we'll start earlier so they get more free time :)

  • I realised i forgot to say the steering wheel was from Morrisons - told you all i was being forgetful. ;)

julie are you liking the room now it is sorted?

PF loved the dress - i wish i had been more sensible and bought a much cheaper wedding dress now - mum and dad made me get one from a bridal shop that was a complete rip off.

sarah sh thanks for thinking of me today. I do feel a bit better today but we had a nice time out, and the boys were both well entertained. I made sure i sat on here for a bit when we got back and let DH listen to the whinging. I also went in the supermarket just DS1 and myself, and left him with the baby - doesn't sound helpful but it was nice to spend the time with him. I forget how lovely he is. DH said this morning when he was changing his nappy upstairs he told him he was going to come downstairs and give me a big hug. He'd forgotton by the time he got down to me, but the thought was definitely there. I know it is up to me to help them be happier too.

johanne thanks for saying Sarah had rolled off the bed - Charlie did it when he was small, but i couldn't remember how old he was. Seems though Sarah is only that few weeks older i'll assume sam may do similar soon. ;) So cheers for the heads up.

Right - i think we are about to sort something to eat and then watch our film - the interpreter. We are trying to watch loads of films at the minute as we haven't had good value from the DVD rental subscription this year - this will be the 3rd film in a week. ;)

Just realised I am freezing.. best go put the TD's on .. AGAIN.

I've done 2 binbags of rubbish from DS1's room today, and about 4 loads of laundry, 1 binbag from the boys room, 2 from mine, one from the kitchen and one just from random bits strewn about the house.. and have a mountain of laundry collected from about the place.

    Loo first.. then mess

I think I preferred it before they moved everything round:o - but it's done now and we can't move the stuff back so I'll live with it. It's better now I've jiggled it around a bit - when I first saw it after they'd moved everything I hated it - I think my face must have hit the floor.

    :hello:Evening everyone!

Underpowered today - hardly any sunlight! So, I have done the weekly shopping, two lots of washing and visited my Mum. And that's it.

It's the first time for ages that I have had a free afternoon and been germ free, and it was nice to see Mum, although she only said about three words, as she's not speaking very much. We're not sure why, but think perhaps it's because it's an effort to do, and because Mum and Dad know each other so well, she doesn't bother with him.

Only DS1 at home this evening, so very peaceful. I'm going to do the washing up, and then watch some rubbish on TV.

  • Hi,

Hope everyone is well and welcome newbies/returners. So far this afternoon/evening I've washed up, done laundry, emptied the bin, washed up and done errands. I'm off to bed now
