Hi All
£10 overpayment for Janaury.
have spoken to Abbey as I got my reduced mortgage payment information through. They have reduced it to £350 per month. Have asked if they can increase it to £390 as that is what I was paying before which would be automatic £40 overpayment per month - they are confirming in writing so hopefully should be sorted for February. have updated signature and they will let me know the new end date of mortgage too.Mortgage free as at 1/9/13 :j
To start work on the credit cards now!!0 -
Hello everyone:hello:
I am finally on the "Overpayment train":j
Just checked my current account and the first £250 payment has departed. Its not yet showing against the outstanding mortgage balance, but I want to feel good so I'm claiming it anyway!
Zav, I will pm you with the details

Thanks for PM - I've updated the first thread

Yes, it was a great feeling... just to think i'd saved some interest gave me that readybrek glow!!!!
I'm already trying to figure out if I'll have anything spare at the end of the month to put in a bit more. I also have a mortgage moo which is due to be opened in April, so I'm going to feed her a bit more!
Will send you the pm closer to the end (in the hope that I pay a bit more off!)

Hi,
We have mortgage of £53,610.76 overpaid by 1217.52 last year so would like to overpay a little more but still have a small amount of extension and wedding debt to pay off!!
Is still slightly depressing looking at the fact that we paid £6150 throughout the year and only 3134.67 came off the amount after interest!!
Oh well good luck everyone will ponder my target a little more :money:
Maybe to get it below £50,000 would be good??[0 -
Just been playing around with some figures since Yorkshire Bank still hasn't called me to confirm my minimum  its been a week now....
So I know its only a rough figure but playing with the calculators it looks like my payment should be around £530 per month so my OP's at the minute are £470 plus the £50 that I am putting into the ISA :j
so my OP for January is £570 I am so excited :rotfl:I think I will change my target to £5000 to account for it and give me something to push a bit harder for, I suppose I have to take advantage of the low interest rates dont I!!MFW 2010 Challenge (No 68) - £133.29/ £5000MFITT2 Challenge - (No 181) - Target Reduce mortgage to £130,000Mortgage @ 1.8.09 - £161160  @1.12.09 - £159052  @ 1.2.10 £157,3630
