I will once again be joining you for 2009. I am 132 in the list above. Current mortgage is £53500 and it should be around 53k by the end of 2008. I am currently on maternity leave so thing are a little tight between now and easter but I hope to have the mortgage sub 50k by December 2009. That means an overpayment target of £1500 for 2009.
    MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:

    Hi Zavarony,

At the moment, I'm aiming to op by £7000 in 2009. I'll pm you nearer the time if I plan to change that target. I'm no. 63 on the list.

    Thanks for taking over.

Can I join in too please.
I hope to overpay by 10K in 2009. Ideally it would be more as big mortgage and I want to pay off in just under 8 years. But worried if i aim to high in first year and fail i will be put off. So 10K is aim but will try for more if goes well.
    Cheers

I am amazed by the number of emails/posts already since I only started the thread late last night - in the current climate, its surprising that so many of us are able to make any kind of OP's but is equally amazing how much difference even the smallest OP can make!!

I'm re mortgaging in 2009, so all savings / potential overpayments will go towards reducing what I have to borrow in June.

    Hi Zavarony,

Can I join in too please?

Currently on target to overpay £3000 for 2008. So I'll see if we can do better this year, say £3300 for 2009.

    Thanks for the motivation.
