    Mortgage-free Glee!
Yay! Northern Rock wrote a letter to me and used a template. Unfortunately for them, they left someone else's personal details in the letter. Complaint being drafted as we speak. Do you know, one thing I will miss about NR is their sheer incompetance. I'll miss it because every time they've messed up, I've complained and been compensated. £475 in the past two years. Oh, the emotional distress!!!!
  • No. 280 reporting in, overpayment of £495 made last week.

Well done everyone on your progress x
  • Hello ladies and gents. #199 reporting a £300 OP for September (late again!).

What sort of time do you lot overpay?

We usually wait till the first week of the next month after all our bills etc have been paid and we know exactly what is left in the joint account.

Not the most interesting question, just wondering!
  • I wait until the end of the month, see what we have left, then bung most of it on the mortgage. Like to stick to round payments on the mortgage at the moment (nearest £50), any 'overflow' gets put in our savings account and will go toward other treats like holidays, new stuff etc.

I just make additional payment when I know I have some spare cash - we have moved recently and are in the process of decorating the whole house, cant wait till its done and we can throw even more at it - I have noticed tho I keep forgetting to update my own totals - lol :rotfl:
