    Violetblue what a great achievement!

Updates for 289! September overpayment just made so another £1128 so £3384 for the year. I've set up a dd to an overpayment fund so have a further £2k put away but as I'm hoping to move next year this might turn into a deposit fund! Some more wee bits to add to the overpayment fund from eB*y and loyalty card bonuses

    Good luck all!
Mortgage as at March 2010 £225,000 target for December 2012 £170,000. Blog link http://beautifulorpractical.blogspot.com/2010/07/oh-this-is-all-new.html :j
  • Hello, late again :o

Made an OP of £300 for August, better than expected. Still we're effectively transferring money from savings onto the mortgage at the moment while MrsBlackCat isn't working, so hopefully she gets a job soon and we can start OPing again properly.

Everyone's doing great btw, keep it up!
    2009 MFW #199 - OPs / Target: £3800 / £3500
  • Just noticed when updating my signature that I've now hit my target for the year! :j

Hope I can go on to get a few more quid in there by the end of the year...

What's your plan until Jan 2010?

    Thanks determined1

The plan so far is to put what would have been October OP towards my Christmas budget. I've changed my November & December OPs to go into my ISA (terrible rate, but will hopefully stop me spending :o) with the intention of transferring to the mortgage in January.

Any better ideas gratefully received :D

I've just paid my September OP of £453. This makes my YTD figure £3605 on my yearly target of £3000. So I'm moving my target to £4000. Well done to everyone for sticking with the challenge so far.

    Thanks

Hi I'd love to join this post - have been watching with interest for a while and have finally paid my first overpayment.

DH and I currently have mortgage of £156000 with 26 years remaining. We would love to have this paid off in 10 years.

This month we have made overpayment of £500 and have set up a standing order for this amount every month and can hopefully add more when we have it.

£500 so far with goal for what's left of 2009 £2000

Thanks to all for your inspiration! :o
