willen trading - any experience/thoughts?

Hi All, we ordered a TV from them which has now broken, we have had all the same experiences of emailing them and waiting for a reply, trying to call them, no reply. I just checked Companies House website and Willen Trading are in liquidation. Sorry all, it looks like we won't be hearing back from these guys. DO NOT Order from them, their website is still trading, but I doubt you will receive your goods or any kind of customer service!

i agree they have a heck of a lot of negs on the ebay listings they have had,i won a tv arrived ok missing rear mounting screws for a tv specifically to be wall mounted,and for some reason has all original makers ID removed from everything even the manual strange it is all etched off??
anyway if they are in liquidation what happens with the warranty i had??
as if they are not going to cover it i dont even know who the manufacturer really is either.any help please.

i bought a tv from them today, wanted to call them to find out by when would they deliver. could not find their phone number on site. got suspicious..and found this thread...i am really worried now.. although i mailed them with an hour to cancel the order, but have not heard anything from them...the number posted by someone on this thread..no one picks up. why the hell are credit card transactions being approved when company is in liquidation..

hi, i bought goods from Willen Trading nearly one year ago, i was quite happy with my purchase until they broke down within 6 months of buying. As i had a manual with the 'Willen Trading peace of mind 12 month warranty' printed on the back, packaged with my goods, i wrongly assumed it would be just a simple case of contacting them for a replacement.

They replied to my email informing me that their goods only carried a 30 day warranty and as my purchase was 'some time ago' they no longer had any records of it so would not be replacing it. I tried reasoning with them, even quoting my statutory rights but only got cocky replies basically saying i had no rights and they point blank refused to replace the goods.
I was so angry, especially having the 'peace of mind warranty' in my hand which seemed to count for nothing.

Thankfully, i had kept all the email correspondence, receipts, all packaging showing delivery date, so took my case to trading standards. I am now 5 months on and after being told by trading standards they must resolve this dispute, they offered to replace the goods. I phoned and told them i no longer have any use of a replacement as i have already replaced them myself, so they have offered a full refund after they send someone to collect them next week.

i see other customers have returned goods having been told they would receive a refund have been left with nothing:(

I will be phoning trading standards for more advice before parting with my goods and will keep you posted.

In the mean time anyone thinking of dealing with this company PLEASE THINK AGAIN, and instead deal with a reputable company.

try phoning the sister company Geneva industerys (they share the same address)
they will put you though to willen trading

It's a shame that so many of us have fallen foul of this shady Lithuanian scam setup. Honestly, what is the point of local Trading Standards Officers if they just ignore these things? Maybe another area to save money in the inevitable cut backs after the election....

I bought a hoover from them 2 weeks ago at £60. I waited and waited and kept viewing the parcel force tracking number but it never arrived and the tracking number failed to show anything on parcel force website.
I emailed them, that took 2 days to get a reply. They told me that, They will NOT trace the item, will NOT replace the item, will NOT give a refund.

I contacted Parcel Force and they tell me that the tracking number is not registered as a item past or present and that no such item under that number was sent, received or delivered. Very concerning, now it seems I'm £60 out of pocket still with no hoover and just a pay pal dispute to make a decision.

AVOID! They have 45+ negative feedback.
