BB, by even asking us proves your giving it a lot of thought.

My former MiL (I have divorced her, not her son ;) ) once gave me a packet of cream crackers. I reckon she forgot me completely and just gave me whatever was in her cupboard :rotfl:

Now stop worrying, and get wrapping :D

bites lip trying to suppress giggles............but stays out of the way of Little Miss Bossy ;)

OK, I'll give them to them, thankyou for letting me think it out loud and get other people's thoughts.

Actually, if I use this month's Quidco money which has been paid today (£122) that can be used for OH's pressies. £8.50 on Christmas presents - just call me Scrooge!

  • i hope this cheers you up . .

I dont get along with OH's family, i see them as greedy so and so's who have point blankly refused to help us out when we need to, who have helped my OH get in debt (ok officially they asked him for money and made it seem he couldnt say no so he took a loan out, they were supposed to pay it, he didnt check, they never paid it) and i think they are just the most unbelievable ignorant and rude people ever . .

So much so that last year (our DD's first xmas) me and OH decided we would only spend £25 per person and this is for both families and concerntrate on our DD. ANYWAYS, his parents and sister went AWOL, ranting how they were getting "cheap cr*p"

so this year . . ive wrapped them up a few bits and bobs . .

All coming from a car boot and under a quid lol

    serves em right!

However, your family will appreciate the vouchers - they can buy what they want and its a present from you - it doesnt matter where you got them from - they'll love it x

I think that is terrible. What a cheek even thinking about it.

*sooks cheeks in and purses lips and raises bosom with folded arms aka Les Dawson*.

:D No of course it's not. I think you're very wise with what you're doing and I dont see vouchers as an 'easy no thought' gift, I see them as a 'I would really like you to have something you genuinely want' gift.

Now, please come and spend the weekend with me and sort out my gift giving? I hate the headache I always get from worrying about it all.

Its not tight at all. You've clearly thought about these gifts and have justified that they are suitable gifts for the people you intend them to go to. It doesn't make a difference how you came about them... if you'd earnt money from AQA and used that to buy the vouchers it's still a thoughtful gift.

Go for it. At the end of the day I'm sure they'll be grateful and if they're not (like the poster aboves in-laws) then they don't deserve anything!:p
