Car all scratched
I am furious today:mad:
Just found out when using my car today that some idiot has scratched intentionally all the side of my car in several places.
What is more suprising is that i have not really used my car all week, as i have been mostly at home with my ill son.
Its either been scratched 1. at work (unlikley); 2. Outside a car shownroom i parked when going out for a brief visit. 3. Or someone entered our driveway yesterday.
any clues what to do? Is it worth contacting the police?
Luckily the scratches are not deep to the metal. i really dont want to claim on my insurance too...

Guess it could be worth contacting the police just to get a report number to refer to later. Chances are they won't come out though.
If you believe it may have happened on your driveway you are legally entitled to have CCTV pointing at your driveway (there's just a law against it recording other people's property etc). You have two options. A dummy camera - you can get one for about £10 from Toolstation website toolstation.com (but obviously you run the risk of increased attacks if they figure out it's a dummy).
Or you can get a proper camera and a recording unit. You can get a recording unit from £100 http://www.ebuyer.com/cat/Home-&-Office-Security/subcat/CCTV-DVR-Recorders I believe you also need a hard disk for these so would budget another £60 for that, and I would imagine any external camera with infrared at the price range of £100 would give a good enough picture.0 -

Guess it's become one of the unfortunate facts of life living in Labour's wonderful Britain. If you have something someone else doesn't they can cause whatever damage they like to it and you have to foot the bill to repair it if you want to keep it looking good. Then as soon as you catch them at the act and grab them by their ear then that's assault and you're in the slammer.0
