After reading some of the older posts regarding So Lippy, I was suprised by my reading!
I have just received my second order from there and believe that when someone or something pleases you it should be rewarded!
When i placed my first order, it was after finding a well loved fragrance I was finding hard to find. the order was taken, email received confirming, minutes later, upgraded to ready to dispatch, next day, order dispatched. following day received my parcel. I was so happy i returned to make another order and received almost identical service.
I will return to this company, and would recommend it to others, but do feel for anyone who has had problems.0 -

don't buy from this company, I have made a mistake by ordering a perfume and after 10 days finally got the perfume, and when opened it. it smells awful nothing like the real one, I am not sure if it is a fake or it has been on the shelf for over 10 years that it has gone off
I am surprised such a company is allowed to trade in the uk, and it shows how the system is getting so weak in this country to tackle so many bad companies0 -
AVOID AVOID AVOID - order placed 11th August, automated message to say dispatched 22nd August - still no sign of the order and absolute silence to my two emails to date. I should have followed my gut instinct and avoided them like the plague. So Lippy seem to have two references - praise highly or AVOID - mine is most very definitely the second!0

Avoid this company like the plague! Placed an order for perfume on the 11 aug and money left bank on the 12 aug . No perfume arrived despit numerous emails which were ignored by this company. Only able to leave recorded telephone messages, which were not answered. It was only when I emailed them after 3 weeks informing them that they had 30 days to complete by order or else they had not complied with the distance selling act that I got an email from them . Product delivered today 6th September . If you are having trouble with them contact citizens advise or trading standards.
I will never use this company again, So Lippy, so cheeky!0 -
BE WARNED- do not buy from this company. They have taken payment but have delivered nothing. They do not reply to phone messages nor emails.0

So Lippy TOOK MY MONEY AND DID NOT SEND THE PRODUCT.
That was in July 2013. They did not respond to phone calls or emails, except random emails.
This is the email I had to send to them on 28 August 2013:
"I have NOT received my order. I sent you an e-mail yesterday, and now this is the fifth message.
Please refund my money immediately. You were quick enough to take money out of my account as soon as I placed the order and a good two weeks before you marked it as dispatched. You even took the money out twice and refunded that fairly promptly, so I know you can do it. I have waited long enough, 49 days, and contacted you enough times that this should have been resolved long ago.
According to the Distance Selling Regulations, I may cancel my order if it is not received within 30 days. So I am cancelling my order. Please refund my money immediately."
Still no reply and still no money. That's more like 90 days now.
So Lippy has a VERY BAD REPUTATION and there are bad reviews here and on Ciao.co.uk. I wish I had read them first.
IT IS A CRIME TO TAKE MONEY AND NOT GIVE THE PRODUCT PURCHASED.
THEREFORE, SO LIPPY ARE CRMINIALS.
I hope this reveiw saves others from what I have had to go through.
UPDATE FROM 8 November 2013: So Lippy sent an email to me on 30 October, apologizing for the 'oversight' and refunding my money. I checked with the bank today and the money is there. So it appears that sites like Moneysavingexpert do serve the purpose of getting action from vendors who would otherwise just keep the money and hope the customer can't be bothered to make a fuss! I hope everyone who reads this is encouraged to take action to get any situation with So Lippy resolved and not let them get away with simply taking money without sending the goods.

Unfortunately it looks like SoLippy have regressed to their old way of working.
7/10/13 - placed order for some aftershave
8/10/13 - money taken from my account
16/10/13 - received email saying order is now "awaiting dispatch" !?
19/10/13 - received email saying order is now "dispatched"
23/10/13 - still waiting.
I believe my order will turn up eventually but over two weeks for delivery when they are based in the UK is a bit much. Also why it took so long to go from order placed to 'awaiting dispatch' (whatever that is) is strange. I have written three emails to their support address for information on why it's taken so long and received no replies whatsoever.
23/10/13 - received a reply to my 4th email saying my order has been sent to the specified address and should be with me in the next few days.
25/10/13 - package arrived!!0 -
HI everyone,
as you can see from my nickname I am a new member of the happy family, victim of SO LIPPY. Here is what happened to me:
04 OCT 2013 placed the order, credit card CHARGED
20 OCT 2013 received an email sayng: "Further to our recent email, we are still trying to sort out our international posting system as Royal Mail will not allow. Please accept our sincere apologies but we will have to arrange to cancel your order and issue a full refund. As soon as we hear back from Royal Mail we will contact you"
***it seems their are putting the blame on the Royal mail now***
05 NOV 2013 I emailed them saying that "No refund so far!"
14 NOV 2013 No news from them and no money!
Unfortunately I bumped into this forum only now and I understand these people do this often, do not answer the phone(if they have one) and do not reply to emails. Apart from warning new customers from this ****** company I would really be grateful if anyone could suggest me what to do as they do not take any action to emails and phone calls. THANK YOU
