If they are wise to this, the surely the best way to do it would be to wait until after xmas, then take it back saying you bought if for someone but they already have a better printer, and you can't return the camera as you gave it to someone else!!

I would love to try this but I just KNOW my local store will be really funny about it. I didnt think any shop was obliged to take back an item without a receipt and give vouchers and I am surprised that Argos are not refusing refunds as bet CS is very busy at the moment with people returning printers!! Do the printers have the catalogue numbers printed on the box as proof that it was purchased from Argos? Just wondered if they do it would help me argue my case with my local store when I take it back without my receipt. Well done to all that have managed to pull this off though!!

Yes, the printer have two stickers on with item number on.

I have just bought this myself as it's worth a try.

The receipt shows camera as 19.99 and there is a disclaimer saying that it's excluded from the 16 day guarantee but no mention of the printer so it should be ok.

I will let you know how I get on when I try to take it back tonight :-)
