Nice to see all of the poor old bankers patting themselves on the back.:rotfl:
BTW there are 2 quite new BMW's in my HSBC Staff Car Park.
Perhaps they belong to the cleaners.:rolleyes:0 -
I know, lol. And 'Barclays Manager' clearly lives in a fantasy world.

I've already said around here that nobody has any particular reason to believe me over anybody else, so thanks for the off hand comment I guess.
But if you'd done your research, you'd know that B5 (typical) branch managers earn up to 40k, so god knows where you got your 30k from. What would William Shatner do?0 -
I have no been called about this kind of stuff, but if I was, I would probably turn it down.0

Cashier = £11k-£12k.
Branch Adviser = £15k
Lower Management = £20k
Plus bonus - on target may be 10% (sales, service and other measures met) - hard to meet in current climate.
Plus share schemes - playing the schemes well could add 20% to salary - but the lower paids can't afford to buy in - lucky sods - my mate lost £40k in options he'd previously benefited from. Thanks to those executives he trusted.
Cheap mortgage - well slightly cheaper and taxed = not a lot cheaper. Hard to buy a house on £15k.
Yup, most bank staff don't make huge sums and the branch managers aren't rolling in it either.0 -
Really? The two branches I work in are mostly full of old escorts/polos/maybe the odd astra and then a nice Ford for the advisers.Nice to see all of the poor old bankers patting themselves on the back.:rotfl:

I suspect I'm working in the wrong branches.

Inactive, I get the impression that you are against anyone doing well for themselves.. If you look at any sector, most will have some sort of reward benefits.. my god, there are some who pay you attendance allowances just for turning up and not throwing sickies!
It appears that you may have a touch of the green eyed monster there.0 -
I like my cheap little volkswagen thank you very much and while I could potentially afford a better car I chose not to and save my money instead. No kleenex needed.Pass me the Kleenex.;)Trying to only spend money when I absolutely have to.Barclaycard: £4559-1500 = £3059 (Will have £900 to add to that end of September)Loan from Friend = £20000 -

Not at all, I just get so annoyed that the greedy banks " dress up " something as an " Account Review " when their real aim is to waste customers time by trying to flog them something that they ( a ) probably don't need and ( b) could most likely get cheaper / a better deal elsewhere.0
