Poor day today, only posted 4 swaps and 2 sales. Just got in no pending swaps but have sold another 1 this is my best week ever!I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

I have to get back into this was so excited at my one book sale and then made no more effort! Sure I still haven't received my payment! Here dead we lie because we did not choose
To live and shame the land from which we sprung.
Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
And we were young.

The unthinkable has happened! Checking through my remaining swap books last night realised that 1 that was peering back at me from the mantlepiece that should have been posted out over a week ago, am so embarrassed! I received their book last Monday!
Have emailed them and thank heavens they have been very decent about it.
No sales today am most disappointed as I was on a roll since last weekend, I have enough sold to pay for half of mini satan's Thomas the Tank bed, hopefully by time we move will have enough sold to pay for all of it.I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

Right oh veterans of sales, having got to grips with UK sales (I think!), is it worth me doing foreign sales, and how do I go about it? Will it cost me loads more in postage etc? And are any of you pro's doing it and making lots of money?
Help on this appreciatedI love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

Becky - you get extra money from amazon (have a look on the site for fees, I can't remember where I saw it) for the overseas sales but like a UK transaction a lighter book will make you extra money, a heavier book will cost you money so be a bit picky about ones you offer to the world. I've not had any marked success by offering them worldwide but in theory it should be a good thing letting a wider audience see them.0

There is also a printed paper rate available for overseas postage which keeps the cost down. Shame there isn't the same for the UK.
I actually sold my first cassette today, so guess what I'll be listing all next week!
I've also had a few books reach the end of the 60 days selling period which I am trying on ebay, and have two with bids already. So it is worth experimenting with ebay if something sticks on Amazon.

The four or so I've put up as a test didn't come up when I tried the barcode number on the back. However when I put the title in one of the options I was offered was for the casette version. So I just listed it via that method.
It doesn't work on all of them, I have some classical ones where only CD copies come up so I will have to take them to the charity shop as I won't risk listing them under CDs with a note saying they are a cassette in case the buyer doesn't read the description.
I've only tried a few so far, it seems that some of the weirder ones do come up, possibly because they were never released on CD, but the popular types don't come up.

To update my last post I've just sold another cassette which means I've sold two cassettes but only 1 book this week.
I'm definitely going to list all my cassettes this week, the one I just sold went for £7!
