There was no mention of this at all; it was very short.
I will await these statements; though I'm waiting to see what they will come up with, since Creation couldn't even tally my name with my a/c no.
Will try not to worry; though I will be glad when this is over.

Don't fret about it, it's pure BS on their part. Nature of the beast.0

Still awaiting a response; no answer as yet...Its coming upto 30 days. So, what now? I do want to report them to Trading standards or Watchdog or someone similar?!?0
-
Both. Trading Standards AND Watchdog. There's a link on the BBC website, I think. You can also put in a complaint to the OFT. Link below, download the form and post to the address at the bottom.

Hiya,
So considering there are now three of us with dealing with the elusive Lowell, I think we should all write to the two above companies...
Agreed?!?
Thanks Harrassed; you even have names to write to! So OFT is completely different to Trading standards then?0 -
Yes. The Office of Fair Trading is part of the Department of Trade & Industry. Trading Standards is part of your local council, who enforce consumer law, amongst other things.0

Hiya Karma,
Was just wondering what was the freephone number you used for Sky and was it for customer services? Sorry to go OT!
Thanks!Mortgage-free wannabe!0 -
What an amazing thread !!! Its now obvious that in Karma67's case that they have gone past the 30 days time limit for them to prove the debt. What now? Would you consider challenging them about it and pointing out they have now as Harassed states they have committed a criminal offence ? I only raise this point coz the level of stress and hassel they have put you through they will only continue to do with other people unless these firms start to realise their legal responsibilities in situations like these.0
